Removal of response.exe possible??

When you get something like this that keeps popping up it probably means that there is a fight going on between your anti-virus or anti-spyware program and whatever it is that is trying to install or run itself. The best thing you can do is to turn off the machine and clean it.

Buy "cleaning" I do not mean run your anti-virus or anti-spyware because they, obviously, cannot clean it. The best way to clean any machine, and the only way to be sure you have done so, is to REMOVE the hard drive, attached it to a clean system and let that system clean it, usually with several types of cleaners. (We use 4 on every system).

However, if you don't have a 2nd machine and the hardware needed to attach an external hard drive to it, running a bunch of cleaners my fix the problem. I would use TDSKiller.exe from Kaspersky, NPE.exe from Norton and Combofix from...I don't remember...sorry. Anyway they are all free and downloadable. You can also try Malwarebytes and Spybot Search and Destroy. ?The more cleaners you run the more likely you are to fix the problem if the problem is nefarious software. Which leads me to add something.

It may be that the offending software is something needed by your system. It may be the pop up is just a "false positive" and that you don't want to remove the item. Your best bet then, is to first determine what "response.exe" might be and from where it comes. Once you do that you may find that it is needed. If so I'd either reinstall the software from which it came or find out how to tell my anti-virus / anti spyware to ignore it.

Good luck

I think my net book have a virus

Go to download.com and install one of the free anti-viruses. It would also be worth downloading anti anti-malware product as well.

I recommend Avast Free Anti-virus and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (both are free).

Which is the latest anti virus software?

Any decent anti-virus program will be continually updated to keep up with virus developments. Which one you go for is mostly a matter of preference. If you're looking for free software, I highly recommend AVG free, which is, in my experience, one of the best freeware anti-virus suites.

If you're looking to buy some software, then Bit Defender and Kaspersky are two of the highest rated antivirus suites of 2011. This site here has some good comparisons and a little buyers' guide to help you choose the best software for your needs.

I hope this helps!

How to clean my computer virus. my cmptr is slow.

HI,
The computer can be cleaned from virus, by using a good anti virus software and a combination of anti spyware and malware softwares. Sometimes one anti-virus program may not be good enough to protect your PC. The best approach is to first back up all your important information like documents and pictures to a DVD or external harddrive.
You can use the following tools:

Vista and Virus/Spyware Software

Hi
There is a huge range of anti - virus software out there. The main decision is whether you want to pay for it or not.

If you want complete security, I would recommend you read this guide. It gives you the run down of the best ways to fight infection.

If you want something lightweight then I would go with avast antivirus. The free version provides anti virus, anti spyware and anti Rootkit. With this installed you can pretty much forget about security problems. And it's free!

However, if you want the best there is I'd go for NOD32 - it frequently scores as the best product.

If you're looking for something that should work seamlessly with your operating system with a fantastic user interface then Windows Live Onecare along with Windows Defender might be for you, though I can't promise them being lightweight on the system resources.

This site provides a run down of all the best free scanners for every type of infection. Even if you choose to pay for something I'd recommend using the Trojan and Rootkit scanners that are suggested there - just yesterday they allowed me to locate and destroy a Rootkit that got past my protection.

Hope this is helpful to your decision.
