Our WeatherKing model 13PJA48A01 died last week during the recent extreme cold weather we've had in PA. Serial #7333N110600878 MFD 3/2006. I hear a quiet hum in the outdoor unit with an occassional click - but it doesn't come on. We are running on the AUX heat and have turned off the breaker to the outdoor unit in hopes of preventing any further damage. Can not get in touch with the installer. Anyone know of a simple fix, or is this 2/12 yr old unit shot already?

Have you contacted the company who installed ? try there first, if no luck with the company, contact the manufacture directly, explain to them your problem and try to have them help you with getting the company who installed to do the right thing and replace the compressor under warranty, you may have to pay a warranty install charge, but it would be alot less than having to pay for a whole new compressor, or new unit, put your ducks in a row, get model and serial numbers, date of install, who installed it, and the manufactures warranty on the compressor, that way you will be ahead of the game, best of luck, hope that helped

Rinnai ex 38 flashing code 99. I took the vent apart and there is no blockage. Unit has only been installed one month.

If it is only one month old doesn't do anything but call for warranty serving. ANY attempt to repair this will void the warranty.

How do I fix my electric heater

  • sounds like the sensor or bulb that tells it to start the blower is defective/ im not familiar with your unit but this seems the most logical answer most furnace will not turn the blower on right away usually 90 seconds after the ignition but will also run longer to exhume any dangerous carbon monoxide. Electricic heaters are different. What type of unit do you have

Electric Furnace stopped running

You have one of two problems. Either the capacitor for the motor has failed or the motor has failed. I would turn off the power to the unit and see if you can locate the capacitor and remove it. An ac supply or electrical supply house can match up the capacitor. This is relatively inexpensive. Otherwise you will need a new motor.

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed

My deLonghi dehumidifier no longer dehumidifies. The device appears to be functioning OK but is not taking a drop of moisture into the tank. Previously, it filled in about 48 hours.

Hi, Soorry for the delay in the respones but I was stuck in a factory job the last few days.
When this happens usuall either the compressor is not running or the unit is packed with dirt. Can you tell me if you hear the compressor kicking on? I will look up this model and cover all the bases for you. The sysytem is slow on resposnes right now but I will keep on top of this with you till se get it going. Alsocheck the tank for a pluggage in the drain tube.
