Monitor Channel Making static sounds

Without hearing it it is difficult to be sure what is going on. What happens if you plug the main PA into the monitor channels, do you get the same? Are you trying to get too much into the monitors? static and popping are not the same to my ears, popping sounds more like you are hearing something that's there through the monitors that you're not hearing through the main mix as it may be masked. What frequency is the popping? Does it only happen when levels are high or when the singers are doing 'p' and 'b's etc? do you get it if you put the monitors on the main mix? Are you running the monitors into clipping (although I wouldn't expect this to create a popping? It sounds like a mix issue rather than a fault with hardware.

My Technics SUV 660 is making a crackling and popping sound regardless of where the volume is. It does reduce once the amp has been on for an hr or so. Also the speakers are not consistantly on. Any a

If the sound is on both channels then it's probably a device that is connected to both channels. I don't think it's the power supply. I rather suspect it's in the power amp section, since it's not affected by turning up the volume. If the amp uses one of those STK devices as a power amp, it could even be that.

2010 VW CC factory stereo amp popping sound

If the amplifier itself is making the popping sound I suggest you disconnect it immediately, as it could be an electrical short within the amp. If the popping sound is actually coming from the speakers, it could be due to a crossed wire, blown amp channel, or blown speaker. If you posses the technical know-how, you can test the amp channel and speaker by connecting a different speaker to the channel responsible for the popping sound. If the new speaker makes the same popping noise then it is most likely a blown channel. I hope this helps =)

Popping sound when changing channel

Hi jenmoore945, my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. I know it can be frustrating when the receiver has a popping sound when changing the channel. Try unplugging the receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in. Allow the receiver to reacquire the signal and download the guide, check to see if you still hear the pops when changing the channel.

Popping and fading of sound

The "popping" sound could be electricity jumping from one place to another. An internal SHORT in a transistor, an internal OPEN in a resistor.Intermittent [sometimes it does, sometimes it dose not] arcing electronic parts.
Dust [metal filings, very fine hair that burns like a fuse] & dirt [anything metal], arcing (shorted) capacitors.Bad connections on ANY ground connector.
Possible:: your surround sound MASKED the popping sounds by acting like a FILTER.Which lets me to think that your problem is in the audio section.

Sony Bravia XBR-2 32-inch LCD with popping noise problem

Has anyone heard of something like this where the cable box/service is causing popping sounds? yes & it is common problem. And is this something I should be concerned about causing damage to the TV's speakers? not at all. The Sony tech-support representative (over the phone) diagnosed it further to a problem not with the TV but with the cable box/service because there were no popping sounds when I played a DVD on my Playstation 2 that is attached to the TV. they are right that your problem is not due to tv. it is due to cable box/service? yes but not defective it reqires to change the way you have connected tv to cable.please call tech to get it connected in such a way so that you do not get popping sound when you you put off cable box.
