Clear a paper jam on 3330

I can see where the paper is jammed at the back of the printer. Is there a button to release it from around the roller?

When you say "release it from around the roller", do you mean that the page looks like it is wrapped around the roller? If so then the fuser will possibly need replaced. Depending on how skilled you are you could try removing the fuser and disassembling it to remove the paper but it may not be possible. if you decide to try be careful not to tear the "roller". It is actually a fixing film, a thin mylar type product with a nonstick surface. It is easy to damage it and then you would have to replace the fuser for sure.

SOURCE: What paper jam?

Does the printer even try to pick a piece of paper from the supply tray? If not, then it would appear that a sensor somewhere in the paper path is bad, either mechanically or electronically. Often, these sensors have a lever which touches the paper. If by chance the lever is broken or stuck it won't give a correct message to the logic circuit. If by chance the sensor is electronically defective, it would still give a bad message to the logic, and it would need to be replaced. Logic circuitry could be bad, in which case, replace the printer. With the lowcost printer/all-in-one units these days, it seems fixya has a continual flow of inquiries. Maybe this will give you some help.

SOURCE: HP LASERJET 4 PAPER JAM 13

Rollers do not turn on!
Rollers are driven by a motor.
How is the printer telling you this information? (does the PC give an error, or the printer flash lights)

Does the paper make it out of the machine?

Is this "Rollers in the Back" the Fuser Unit?

is The Fuser unit is going bad,
if you open the back top cover, where it gets real hot, where the paper exit's, you should see two rollers, one orange, one either brown or black.. if that orange roller is damaged, has crease's, or covered with black toner, if the paper jams here alott, you probably need a new fuser unit. there is a pm kit available which includes the fuser and rollers, transfer, etc, which this site might have

How do i remove the cover on the exit rollers to remove a jam

To remove a paper jam from the exit rollers of a printer, you'll typically need to access the jammed area by opening the printer's covers. Keep in mind that the process can vary depending on the printer model and brand. Here are general steps you can follow to remove the cover and access the exit rollers:
  1. Power Off the Printer: Before attempting to remove any jams or open the printer covers, make sure to turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to avoid any risk of electrical shock.
  2. Open the Printer's Top Cover: Most printers have a top cover that can be easily lifted to access the internal components. Look for a latch or release button on the printer's top cover and gently lift it up to open.
  3. Locate the Jammed Paper: Once the top cover is open, carefully inspect the printer's internal area, especially around the exit rollers, for any visible jammed paper. If you find the jammed paper, gently grasp it and pull it out in the direction of paper movement to avoid damaging the printer.
  4. Check the Rear Cover (if applicable): Some printers have a rear cover or panel that allows access to the exit rollers and other internal components. If your printer has a rear cover, you may need to open it to clear the jam completely.
  5. Remove Paper Trays (if necessary): If the jammed paper extends into the paper trays, you may need to remove the trays to access and remove the jam more effectively.
  6. Clear Paper Path: Ensure that all remnants of the jammed paper are cleared from the printer's paper path. Check for any small pieces of paper that may have torn during the jam and remove them as well.
  7. Close the Covers: After you have successfully removed the jam, close all the printer covers securely. Make sure they are properly latched to ensure the printer functions correctly.
  8. Power On the Printer: Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on. Perform a test print to verify that the paper jam issue has been resolved.

I have a paper jam in the BACK of my HP 3330 and don't know how to get it from aound the cylinder. How do I clear the jam?

Clean the pickup roller with a damp cloth, check whether transfer roller under toner cartrige rotates freely. Check if the size of the loaded paper is the same of the document in the application, i.e. if you print on A4, your document should be set to A4. Sometimes you may receive a document by email with different paper format from what you expect. Reformat the document as setting the page size to your loaded in the printer one.

Paper Jam

I have exactly the same printer, here's how to remove jammed paper.
1. Unplug printer from mains and your computer. 2. Turn Printer around 3. There is a darker-grey panel with a knob in the middle of it. Turn the knob anti-clockwise to release the panel 4. The jammed paper should loop around the roller. Gently pull on the loop slowly until it has released fully. 5. Put the panel back on the printer and turn knob anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
Hope this helps.
