5. Print a diagnostic page.
   1. Press and hold the Power button ( ).
   2. While holding the Power button ( ), press and hold the Cancel button ( ), and then release both buttons.
   3. The product prints a diagnostic page.
   • If the page prints successfully, the issue is resolved.
   • If the issue is not resolved and another jam occurs, continue to the next step.

      2. If necessary, pull the input tray down to open it, and then lower the print cartridge door.
         1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. CAUTION: If the paper tears when you are removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the product. If you do not remove all the pieces of paper from the product, more paper jams might occur.
         2. Close the print cartridge door.
         3. Connect the power cord to the back of the product.
         4. On the control panel, press the Start Copy Black button ( ) to continue the current print job.
            Step three: Perform a power reset Follow these steps to reset the product.
            1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.
            2. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
            3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
            4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
            5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
            6. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
            7. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button ( ) to turn it on.
            Step four: Clean the rollers
            

Clean the pickup roller with a damp cloth, check whether transfer roller under toner cartrige rotates freely. Check if the size of the loaded paper is the same of the document in the application, i.e. if you print on A4, your document should be set to A4. Sometimes you may receive a document by email with different paper format from what you expect. Reformat the document as setting the page size to your loaded in the printer one.

there might be some paper stuck in the rollers or which is blocking the sensor hence the msg. just give it a good check

I have exactly the same printer, here's how to remove jammed paper.
1. Unplug printer from mains and your computer. 2. Turn Printer around 3. There is a darker-grey panel with a knob in the middle of it. Turn the knob anti-clockwise to release the panel 4. The jammed paper should loop around the roller. Gently pull on the loop slowly until it has released fully. 5. Put the panel back on the printer and turn knob anti-clockwise to lock it into place.
