Replace sheerpin on snowblower

I have a Sears snowblower and only 1/2 of the blade turns - I hit a steak and it looks like the sheerpin is broken on one side - don't have a manual and wonder if I can fix it myself.

Went through every site recently but couldn't get the answer.
For my 1985 Toyota corona the answer is.
Firstly open the boot.
1. Look at similar boot in open position.
2. Slide steak knife in at 45 degrees upwards from rear to front under the boot. Ensure the end of the blade is aiming at the lock.
3. Push steak knife handle to left.
Next fix the problem.
A. Search for defective component and replace it.
B. After replacing the basic lock a component still needed to be bent

Finally test boot without locking it.

CRAFTSMAN®/MD Electric Snowblower owner's

If this is a Craftsman product then you should be able to enter the model number here and get one.. The manual tab will be on the right after they find it for you. A lot of repair information is not available in manuals, but Sears manuals are known to have parts schematic breakdown lists and diagrams, plus you can purchase from the online parts breakdown lists.

I just opened a 12"

As this is an unused machine, take it back to Sears for replacement (Sears used to have a 'satisfaction-guaranteed' policy--hope they still do)! It appears that the frame is for a smaller saw blade than 12". Good luck!

I have an old Sears Jig Saw, model 110 25710, that has a broken blade. I need a new blad and instructions on how to remove the broken one, and replace it with the new one. Can you offer any assistance?

Take a look at the point of blade locking to the tool. Should be 2 hexagon bolts. Using the right size tool, unscrew them carefylly, pull out the broken blade, go to your local hardware store, and get a new one that will have the same size on the tail. ( the side that gets inside the slide on the saw). Slide the new blade to the saw, and tighten the bolts back but do it equally twisting them in turns, half a turn each time to keep the blade staying straight.
Whole thing should last no more than 5 min. ( Remember to keep the power cable unplugged all the time you make the change. Your fingers are priceless).
