Whirlpool washer does not start after fill with water
I have a Whirlpool Super Capacity plus - 13 cycles - 5 speed combination procelain Basket washer that has just started having a startup problem (3 years old). Sometimes when I put the led/top down it does not start and when this happens ,I lift the led and manually move the inside basket around with my hand ...and then shut the led/top again and most of the time it starts working/spinning. Howere, it is getting worse ...Any feedback/guidance is greatly appreciated!

Re: Whirlpool washer does not start after fill with water
It sounds like the washer tub is off balanced. When it is, it will usually not start. Underneath the washer, there are 3 or 4 bolts or nuts, depending on your washer model, that hold the washer to these balance springs. make sure that the bolts or nuts are tight or secure. If this doesn't help, get on a website called Repairclinic.com. They usually will help with home repairs.

sounds like water may be going out but no spin in last cycle lean washer back and ck underneath for oil leak on top off transmission is a silver colored disk shaped object this is part of clutch if there appears to be a lot of oil on it good chance there is oil on clutch also causing it not yo spin..also ck to see if basket spins after short pause at end of rinse cycle ..start a rinse cycle at setting on timer with lid shut allow to run undisturbed ..once agitation stops in rinse timer should stop then start motor back up to drain ..there should be another short pause then washer should start spinning if does not pause suspect suspect timer if it does pause but doesn't start spinning suspect transmission..remember allow washer to advance by itself DO NOT RAISE LID TO CK..a small load of clothes will let you know if washer has spun
heres hteaprt numbr for both the water level switch and the connecting tube, before i replace he switch make sure the tube is connected to rear of tub nad isnot cracked or kinked, and connected correctly to the switch for that matter. a hole in the tube would hamper he switches ability to sense when unit is full
