maybe the driver of that built in camera.. has been corrupted.. .. find a driver online.. check first your device manager..!! go to MY COMPUTER and right click....then PROPERTIES, HARDWARE and then DEVICE MANAGER..look if theres a missing driver in the camera built in... so if thats the case.. find a driver online.... GOOD luck
If your web cam is connected you will find the driver details by going to your device Manager ( right click my computer icon, select properties, under hardware click device maanager). Under imaging devices you shoud find your camera. Just right the cam, choose properties and you will find driver details aongst the tabs shown
Go to My Computer properties.
And choose Devices->Device manger.
You can see there your webcam.
Or if you see any ? or ! character before the camera you should install cam driver.
If anything let me know I will help.
To turn the camera on IS in the BIOS. It's not in a logical "camera" spot but it's in there. My camera on my Eee PC 1000H got turned off somehow (not by me or by a BIO upgrade) so I found it and fixed it. Look for it in the BIOS menu's. It's there.
-control panel -system -hardware -device manager tab -device manager -click on the "+" next to Universal Serial Bus controllers -see
that everything there is enabled (if there appears to be a red mark
next to the description, then right click on item and hit enable)
Go into the BIOS Setup (press F2 when the screen lites up).
Right arrow key to Advanced
Down Arrow key to Onboard Devices Configuration
Arrow key down to Onboard Camera
Arrow key to Enable
