How do I set the date on my Roots MAI TAI RY2142 Watch for Women?

The manual for this watch sucks, and it's not intuitive like a Timex. I can't figure out how to set the Date on my Roots MAI TAI RY 2142 watch. Any ideas? Thanks, Lindsey

Start by holding in the mode button (bottom left) until the first number blinks, then let go. You are actually in the alarm mode right now, now press and release the mode button and enter the time setting mode, the seconds will be flashing. Now press and release the start/stop button (top right) and the minutes will flash, again for hours, again for the month, and again for the date. When the parameter you want to adjust is flashing just press the adjust button (top left) to change the numbers. When your finished simply press the mode button to exit the setting menu. Worked for me, hope it does for you too. Most of the other setting changes are tricky as well, just ask for help again if you want to change the alarm or 12 or 24 hour clock etc....

I have the same watch and can not figure out how to change from the 24 hour mode to the 12 hour mode. Any help would be appreciated,

To change between am/pm and 24 hour mode you need to hold down the top right button (start/stop) and press the left bottom button (mode) once, then let go of both buttons. This action toggles between the am/pm and 24hr mode each time you press the start/stop button. You can tell which mode you will be in when you let go because you will either see a p an a or nothing in the top right of the display. If you see nothing this means you are in the 24hr mode.
