SOURCE: leaking inside regrigerator
This is a common problem with top mount freezers and an easy repair .Remove the food and the ice maker from the freezer ( if equiped ) . Remove the rear freezer panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the middle , below the coils , defrosting , until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once water starts going thru the hole , use a small hose inserted into the hole , and blow thru , to remove any unseen debris in the drain line . Use an ALUMINUM or COPPER solid wire , 14-16 guage , with the insulation completely off , and insert one end into the drain hole as far as possible without any force . Wrap the other end about 1 1/2 to 2 turns , around the black rod (defrost heater) , above the hole . When refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer from the heater , to the wire , keeping the hole from freezing up again .

Open the fridge door, locate the dial which moderates the temperature located on the 'ceiling' of the fridge. Remove the light cover, remove the globe. Unscrew the two screws which hold the dial housing to the ceiling of the fridge, let this housing hang from the ceiling in the wires. This will expose a red funnel shaped tray, gently lift the tray and pull it out, you will most likely find the tray drain is blocked with gunk, clean and reinstall. Assembly is reverse of removal.

You have an obstructed drain in the freezer or within the drain tube itself. You may have to thaw the unit to fix the problem, but it not terminal and you should not need parts, just need to locate why the water is collecting and clear the tube.

The drain hole is blocked. Easy fix is to empty the freezer and unplug for about 4 hours to make sure all ice in the freezer melts. Now it's the ice under the freezer deck that's blocking the drain hole. That's why you need to leave the freezer off for so long.
