Wont power up, red blinking light (on timer)

Well my problem with this tv is that one day it would not power up at all, except for the red blinking ON TIMER light. ive tried unpluging it but no effect what so ever. and since in no longer under warranty i opened the back to see if anything was blown, nothing, everything looks normal, no bulging capacitors nothing, so what seems to be the problem?

In the field of troubleshooting it would in eeprom trouble., replace the EEPROM/Memory to restore in factory mode.. otherwise pogram the EEPROM under the service mode and restore to factory set-up..

Refer to the trouble-shooting section of your manual. Usually, with this technology, the lights (Lamp/Temp) on these sets are also used at diagnosis/fault indicators... so, your manual should tell you what a flashing TIMER light represents. If the manual, doesn't provide this information, then ring JVC and ask one of their technicians.

Timer light blinking and tv won't turn on

Not much info to go off of, and the video is a bit blurry. Try unplugging the tv for a minute or two, make sure to leave it unplugged to allow power to dissipate. Then try again. Otherwise I would suspect power supply problem.

Timer light is blinking and won't come on

Thats a very common problem with that model which is the V26 chassis. You can get the V26 Chassis DLP DM ? Power repair kit from which has the replacement caps known to fail on the DM and Power boards. The kit also has the CD with step by step repair instructions.

I cant get sony trinitron to turn on. the standby/timer red light blinks several times and it wont turn on what can i do i am bored without tv

Likely damage to main power supply-------try to see if there is a specific number of blinks then a pause and repeats like 7 blinks a pause and repeats---that is an error code if there---with it AND THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE TV I might be able or not to help.

Worked fine two days ago. Last night turned it on and nothing happened except a red blinking light by the power button on the TV. Unplugged the TV and tried again...same thing - no picture and red blinking...

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you can find. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!!

Tv will not turn on. timer light constantly blinks

If you can get into the main menu go to load factory default and reboot, This will reload factory settings and this operation will erase all unwanted settings and load back to factory default. so you can load your own settings and take back control of your tv.
