Apparently, my x360 wireless adapter won't work with a WPA2 Personal security setting. It requires a WEP setting, which I have been unable to reset the Airport Extreme to, or vice versa.

Need to hard reset westell 7500 modem to factory defaults..cust chngd admin password and can't remember what they chngd it to and i need to get into modem

  • Note: Resetting your router to the factory defaults not only changes your router user name and password to the factory default values, but it also deletes all your home network settings. This includes the SSID and network encryption key. After you reset your router to the factory defaults, your home network won't be accessible until you reconfigure your router and all your network devices to use the same SSID and encryption key.

Well i want to lock an with an pin code

Hi,

I guess what you men is you want to have a network key or security for your wireless network at home, you need to find out first what your Routers Default gateway is to be able to get in the router settings and enable a network key/security on your wireless network.

once you know what your Default Gateway is you can use Internet Explorer and enter the Default gateway on the Address bar ex. " 192.168.2.1 " it will look like an IP address but this is local for your Router only depends on what Router you have some Routers have Default Gateway of 192.168.1.1, again this will vary on what Router you have to get in the Routers settings for the Network key/Security.

Also you may need to call your ISP for that information, some Internet Service Providers have a different setting for their Networks some my require you to go to a certain website to get in your Routers settings.

My net book is showing a Local intranet and not the internet how can I fix that

Hi there

When we say your computer is showing local intranet but not the internet then it must be an issue with some of the settings and could also be firewall settings. Lets try these steps to check whats going on.

First i'd say please go to command prompt (START -> RUN -> CMD)
Type IPCONFIG and check for the IP ADDRESS and DEFAULT GATEWAY.
(Normally the IP ADDRESS starts 192.168.xx.xx)
Then PING the Default gateway by entering the Default Gateway( Command for pinging the default gateway is PING "default gateway number")
Check whats the reply you are getting and it should say Packet Sent=4, Received =4 and Lost =0.

Then type ping www.google.com and check whether you gets the same reply Packet Sent=4, Received =4 and Lost =0.

If you gets all these positive then there is no problem with your network. We have to check for the internet explorer settings. First you check with this settings and revert with details. So that i ould be able to assist you better.

Unable 2 get grps settings

Main Menu select > Services > Data Account
set the current GPRS setting properly.

If you sill not able to figure it out you can get the SMS setting from network service provider and you can save the setting so that settings by default account to you.

To make your GPRS working you should first need the settings for it.You cannot set it.Your network provider should give the default gateway address for it.Then only you can use it.
If you already have set the setting and now if it is not working because the network service provider would have changed the gateway Ip address.

I need a driver for gateway 17 in. wide screen monitor FPD1775W

You might want to consider a default settings reset. To refresh or reset the monitor back to default settings, unplug the monitor's power cord, and then press the the power button for five (5) seconds to drain any residual power. Plug in and then turn on the monitor. The default settings load.

Additional information about your monitor is available on the Gateway support website.

Net gear router again,

You would do this through the setup of the router. With your computer physically attached, allow the machine to get an IP address via DHCP. This will give you the IP address of the router because by default, it's the default gateway...

So, you drop to a command prompt (start, run, cmd and press Enter)
Type ipconfig and press enter
This will get you your IP address, subnet mask and the default gateway
The default gateway is what you want for this part...

Open up Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1 (replace it with the IP address you found for default gateway)
You will need the password to get in here...

Once in, you can then poke around the settings and turn off DHCP as well as set many other settings.

Save them and allow the router to restart.

You are back in business.
