The instructions say to let the battery charge for 8 hours before use.
Test the computer:
1. Remove the battery from the netbook.
2. Use the power adapter and turn ON the netbook (without the battery). It should boot up and ask you a lot of questions.
3. Put battery back in netbook while the power is still plugged-in and the netbook is still running (Windows).
4. The netbook will continue to operate with the battery in.
5. Shut down Windows and let the battery complete the 8-hour charge.
I hope this is clear ...

IT sounds like you need to replace your battery. If your laptop (notebook) is working properly while plugged in with Ac power we know it is not your power supply.
I would visit the manufacturer's website for replacement batteries. One complaint I have read about over and over on these particular systems is that the battery life is very poor.

It sounds like the battery charging ac cable might be faulty.. You might want to go to a local shop and see if they could try another cable before you go out and spend money on a new one. They usually will try a cable to see if that's the problem.. Please let me know if this washelpful and if it solved the problem and good luck..

If the battery won't charge and the laptop won't turn on but the ac adapter works with other laptops, then the problem is the port where you plugin the ac adapter. Some of the laptops has it built in to the motherboard. So you might need to have it repaired by a technician. Or if the laptop is still in warranty, you might need to send it to the manufacturer to have it repaired or replaced. But if the laptop works without the battery, or it will turn on but the battery indicator is not lighting up, you're facing one of these problems.
1. The battery itself is dead. 2. the battery bay is loose 3. the battery itself is loose
Hope this helps...
