Re: How do I put the belt on?
You must get the front panel off to install the belt on all American dryers. Some have small access panels to fit the Idler. Most dryers you start by either raising the top or removing the top first. Then you can get the front panel off. Then you can remove the drum and clean er up. Lots of videos showing belt replacement are on you tube.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Pull the front pully cover off and remove the rear wheel fender - the belt goes on the front pully first. raise the back of the bike in the air so the rear wheel spins freely. Make sure the transmission is in neutral. start at the bottom and put the belt on the bottom of the pully and spin the wheel clockwise(toward the front of the bike) and allow the belt to feed onto the pully. put the covers back on and ride. I can change a blast belt in about 10 minutes.
To change belt: 1) Put front roller on floor and push down until roller locks back. 2) Put on new sand paper. 3) Loosen tracking screw until front roller is released. 4) With sander running, use tracking screw to center belt.
Frst take the two screws that are exsposed after you remove the lint trap. Next use a flat bade screw driver and insert it in the seam between the front and top approximately 2 inches in from the side. There is a spring clip 2 inches in on each side you have to trip by shoving the screwdriver in about 1 1/4 inches. The easiest way is to tap them with a hammer. (pry upward on the top and lift it all the way up it will be hinged on the back. Now looking down each front corner you will see a 5/16 screw approximately 8 inches down from the top. Remove these screws and the front can be tilted outward and lifted straight up. You will see a door switch and wires attached to the front remove the wires. You need to do this so you can put the belt around the drum and slide it back. You can see where the belt was riding on the drum. Set the front aside and out of your way. (if you are a very flexable person you can replace the belt from the front but us normal human beings have to remove the back) Next go to the back and remove the back panel there are several 5/16 hex head screws around the outside edge of the back panel remove them and set the back panel aside. Inside on the bottom left side as you face the back of the dryer you will see a motor and a tensioner. The tensioner may still be in place it goes in a slot in the bottom of the dryer next to the pulley on the motor. Put the belt on the drum by putting it around the drum from the front. The belt goes around the drum across the pully on the motor with the tensioner and its pully putting tension of the belt to take up any slack. Then just put everything back in reverse order. Make sure the tensioner pully rotates smoothly if it does not this can cause your belt to break or usually get thrown off the pully. Remember to unplug your dryer before starting and clean the excess lint out of the bottom of the dryer as a good prevention to other problems. I hope this helps
If the front roller is stopping with the walking belt, it is the drive belt. You may be able to tighten it, if it's not too old. The easiest way is to remove the belt by turning the motor by hand while pushing the belt away from the motor. Then adjust the motor back a 16th to an 8th of an inch or so, put the roller side of the belt on the roller side of the pulley, so that you have enough slack to put the belt on the motor. Now, while you pull the belt onto the front roller pulley, turn the motor and walk the belt back on. If it won't go on, this way, you probably have the motor too far back, making it too tight. Good Luck!
turn the front part to the green so it is level and then twist the front to the red make sure the belt catch the hook as you twist it then if the belt is hooked just put it back on the vac like normal and lock it in place then twist it back to the green go postion
You have to open the cabinet and remove the front. Some have screws through the front, others have the screws on the inside that are accessed after raising the lid. To open the top slide a thin flat blade under the front of the lid and feel for the two clips several inches in from the corners. Push straight in on a clip while pulling up on the lid at the front edge and it will release the lid at that point. Do the other clip. Lift the lid. If you don’t see the screws on the outside, they on each side on the inside holding the front tight. With the screws removed, pry out by each of the push clips on the side. The front should be come loose. Swing it away slightly paying attention to the wires to the door switch. Slide the new belt over the drum and work it to where it ran in the past. Put the front back on and snap the lid down. When putting the front on guide the front panel and the drum together at the felt seal. Open the panel on the back near the motor. Reach in and spring the belt tightener over and put the belt around the motor pulley. Let the spring tightener tighten the belt. Put the cover back on. If there isn’t an opening on the back to access the motor pulley, you have to reach under the drum from the front to thread the belt onto the motor pulley. When putting the front panel back on you need to guide the drum and the front panel together at the felt seal around the door opening. Vacuum the cabinet well while it is open and make certain to unplug the power cord and turn the gas off if applicable.
First before you you raise the top, open the cover on the back by the
motor and let the belt loose from the motor pulley unless the belt has
broken. If it has go to the lid. Slide a thin flat blade under the
front of the lid and feel for the two clips several inches in from the
corners. Push straight in on a clip while pulling up on the lid at the
front edge and it will release the lid at that point. Do the other
clip. Lift the lid. Three are usually two screws, one on each side
holding the front tight. With the screws removed, pry out by each of
the push clips on the side. The front should be come loose. Swing it
away slightly paying attention to the wires to the door switch. Slide
the new belt over the drum and work it to where it ran in the past. Put
the front back on and snap the lid down. When putting the front on
guide the front panel and the drum together at the felt seal. Open the
panel on the back near the motor. Reach in and spring the belt
tightener over and put the belt around the motor pulley. Let the spring
tightener tighten the belt. Put the cover back on.
the front has to be removed to re place the belt lift the top takeout the two screws holding the front on unplug the door switch then kinda snap the door forward the drum should stay put and then but the belt on and you should find the pulley it fits in a slot in the bottom part of the drier put it in its slots pull it back to put tension it then let it back to keep tension on the belt
You have to remove the front of the dryer to
access the drum. First unplug the dryer. There are screws at the bottom of the front to remove the lower section. Once you remove that you can get to the screws for the door section. The front of the drum rides on the inside of the front panel so when you remove the panel the drum will drop down. Try to keep the drum in place with something to hold it up. Remove the old belt and place the new belt around the drum. Slid the belt back to where the belt used to ride and then loop the belt around the motor and the tension wheel. Make sure the tension wheel is tightening the belt. Hold up the drum and put the front panel back on. You may need a helper to hold things while you do this. Rotate the drum by hand and make sure it moves smoothly. Plug it back in and give it a try. I hope this helps. Any questions feel free to ask. Please rate me so I know if I'm Helping. Thanks.
pull the front off then put the belt around the drum then pull the idler pulley back to put tension on it and put the belt around the motor pulley let the idler pulley back against the belt to keep it tight replace the front and your done
