SOURCE: stripes on screen
This is just a poorly designed TV, it has thermal problems, if you notice there is room for a fan at the top, but they left it out. I have had the power supply die and I fixed it, no help from Niko. I have resolved to let this tv die when it is ready now and move on. An expensive lesson on early adoption of cheap off-brand products.

Let me give you Technical tip. Find "IF Block" in TV, it would be near Tuner, Open the IF Block and resold it with solder iron. make sure not to make bridges between solder points. Reason of problem in your TV is .."acostic tuning frequency drift". I dont know, how to clear my point. But I am sure, this will solve your TV's problem. Good luck.

for cms voodoo, change your power module.
for tomchik, check your input voltage for voltage drop or fluctuation, if any employ voltage stabilizer, then change your power module. make sure that there is enough ventilation around your tv.
for bananahead , go and change your backlight inverter

That can be the T-CON board failure or main board. It can be heat relate so you will need freeze spray for electronics troubleshooting to cool down the T-CON board first to see if it starts working again.
You should also check the power supply first to make sure it does not have any bad caps and the DC output voltages are OK.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
