The water does not get warm, and the water does not travel from the water container to the coffee pot.

And also, the tray underneath the coffee pot does get hot, so the electricity isn't fully disfunctioning, just the water.

Needle plate keeps opening

1. Your needle plate has a spring on the bottom. Tighten if needed.
2. While you replace the plate you have to do it at an angle. Pry the spring up on one side and move the plate into place. Do the other side of the spring and move it into place.
3. This will take a few tries but with two cups of coffee you'll get it.

Water wont heat. Warmer has no heat but light is on

Hello, One of the wires soldered to the underside of the warming plate had fell off due to poor soldering. The warming plate and the warning light are connected together with piggy back connectors so that is why the light is on even when the warmer is cold. Bye

Water just trickles thru getting less than 1/2 cup of coffee.

If you haven't descaled it yet, per instructions in the owners manual even if the warning isn't present, try that first. If that doesn't work, get a can of compressed air, and insert the nozzle of the can into the upper nozzle of the brewer, the one that pierces the top of the cup, and give it a blast of air. This will dislodge any crud that is preventing the water from coming thru.

Krups KM7000 grinds but won't brew, warming plate no heat. Is this repairable, (perhaps a fuse?) or is it junk. Bought the machine in March 2008

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, but no heating on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I've mastered this machine. The KM7000 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at KM7000@flightsystems.biz.

Cold coffee

Is it the coffee maker itself or the warming plate?

If it's the warming plate I would suggest geting a coffee thermos similar to the ones they have at IHOP and other breakfast places, it will keep your coffee hot all day if you first heat it up with very hot water and your coffee will not have the burned taste

Please answer if the answer works for you, thanks

Won't Brew. No water from resovoir to fileter.

To clean your coffeemaker:
1) Pour four cups of undiluted white household
vinegar into the water reservoir.
2) Place a paper filter into the removable filter
basket and close the brew basket lid.
3) Place the empty decanter on the
warming plate.
Make sure to accurately place the
decanter on the warming plate
to avoid the possibility of overflow.
4) Start the brew cycle:

a. Turn the switch to On. Then, press the
brew button to begin the brew cycle.
b. When the water has flowed into the
decanter, turn the coffeemaker Off
and let the water stand for 30 minutes.
c. Repeat Steps 1 – 4b.

Have a nice day!

Warming plate boils coffee.

Make sure you are using the type of commercial coffee pot like the one in the picture. They don't have to have to be plastic with the metal bottom, they can be all glass. The commercial pots are heavy duty and usually disperse the heat well.

If you are using commercial pots the only solution without replacing the warmers is to put three pennies on the warmer and to put the pot on top of them. The pennies will get hot so don't forget and grab them but the pennies help to move the pot just a little way away from the direct heat.

My coffeepot the Gevalia model above will not brew this mornign

There's a little Thermocouple that can burn out on coffee makers, it's usually mounted by the warming plate. It's about an inch long and looks like a tiny bullet. It's a safety device and should be replaced, not jumped out. Radio shack may have them.

Black & Decker TCM700 Coffee Maker problem

All coffe makers have a thermal cutoff fuse located on the bottom heating plate. It is usually in series with one of the leads to the actual heater. This should read "short" with an ohm meter. If it is "open" it needs replacement. They are rated in Degrees celsius, and are sometimes difficult to find. Black and Decker may be able to send you one.
