SOURCE: tromm won,t drain

Peace,
ngafm at your service!

Lets try this first!
Unplug the washer for 5 minutes and then replug and try it to see if this reboots the system like when a computer acts up, we do the same thing for most electronic devices!
If for some reason this is not helpful, open the user guide and see what they tell you for this specific machine!
How old is the washer?

I'm here all night if you want to write me back!

SOURCE: WM3988HWA Pumps Cold Water in Drying Mode!

Replace the 5 way valve. get the old flow restrictor out of the drying cold water line before reconnecting. It came out of the valve to cause the problem.

SOURCE: LG Senseclean washer dryer combo won't dry

The problem is likely due to lint build up in the condensing unit. I found a solution here:
http://www.motusconnect.com/blog/2009/1/5/lg-washer-dryer-drama-%E2%80%93-diy-fix

I also had a softball size ball of wet, packed lint in the condensing unit. I found that the unit can be cleaned without tools or dis-assembly by:

  1. draining the water.
  2. laying the washer on it's back.
  3. removing the hose clamp on the rubber bellows that connects the drum to the condensing unit (right hand side of machine).
  4. digging the lint wads out with your fingers and a small screwdriver.
Happy drying!

SOURCE: water will not enter the machine on the cold water

I have a similar problem with my LG WD-3245RHD. I had a repairman come out to look at it and he said I needed a new circuit/control board. I have not been able to locate this replacement part to date. RepairClinic.com has one listed, but it is not in stock.

How to remove the top on a LG wm3431hs washer/dryer combo

To remove the top on an LG WM3431HS washer/dryer combo, follow these steps:
  1. Unplug the unit from the power source.
  2. Remove the screws from the back of the unit that secure the top panel.
  3. Slide the top panel backwards to release it from the front control panel.
  4. Lift the top panel up and off the unit.
To reattach the top panel, simply reverse these steps by aligning the panel with the front control panel and sliding it forward until it clicks into place. Then, secure the screws on the back of the unit.

I am having 2 issues. Most importantly, my front load washer/dryer is skipping drying time. I typically wash the clothes then put dryer sheets in and use the dry only on low heat option. It starts...

Your two issues may be related. A combo washer / dryer uses a fine spray of cool water to condense moisture out of the air stream while drying. This water is then pumped down the drain. Cold water is also used to fill the softner dispenser. If the inlet screen on the cold water connection to the machine is restricted, those are two of several things which could show up. Turn cold water valve supplying water to machine off. Unscrew cold water fill hose from machine. Remove screen from inside machine, clean, re-install, re-attach cold water fill hose, turn cold water valve back on and see if performace improved.

I can't turn on SpinSense on my LG WM3987HW combo washer-dryer. I've tried pressing the button for 3 seconds in nearly every mode, on or off, locked, unlocked, wash, spin, rinse. I've managed to get it on...

I have an earlier version of your machine (WM3988HWA). What I've found is that you can't use the Spinsense feature if you've got the Dry cycle set to go after your wash. I have no idea why they designed it this way!
We run the wash first without setting it to dry, and have no problem turning Spinsense on. I usually hold it down for 3 second after hitting the start button, but you can also do it before you start the wash. When the wash is done, then we start a dry cycle.
This is the main flaw with our otherwise great machine. I posted about it at http://www.fixya.com/ThreadAsker.aspx?thid=1844295 a long time ago but never got any advice.

I have an LG Washer and Dryer Combo #WM3431HS. It takes forever to dry. Is this a common problem?

hello. I can help you. Typically this problem is related to a partially clogged dryer vent pipe. pull the dryer out from the wall and remove the vent pipe. check every thing and remove any lint or other blockage in the rear of the dryer and in the vent. Dont forget to go outdoors and check the place where the pipe dumps the dryer air outdoors as it may be clogged there also.

I have a LG wm3988hwa and it pumps cold water into the drum while drying. I have determined that it is not the 5way valve. Any ideas?

I have not looked up your model number, but on LG combo washer/dryers, drying requires addition of some cold water in the vertical vent area to facilitate condensation (and thus moisture removal) from the dryer's air stream. This cold water should then pass under the drum without contacting the clothes. I'd check the pump inlet filter at the front left of the machine, and I'd remove the back of the machine and then the big rubber connector at the lower left side (as viewed from the back of the machine) and remove any lint which may be impeding water flow at that point.
