Re: curser probs on screen on my laptop
First of all try and use the usb mouse and if it works then try to use the cursor in the safe mode and then and u can also upgrade ur RAM. turn on the computer and then let it be like that for say one minute and then turn off the laptop and disconnect the ac adaptor and then take out the battery and after that press and hold dwown the power button without the adaptor and the battery for one minute and then turn ono the computer only with the adaptor and check it out and then disconnect the adaptor and turn on the computer with only battery and again try and after that try and uninstall and reinstall the touchpad driver and then restart the computer and try it should work and still if it doesnt work then replace the touchpad.

the qwerty keyboard onboard your laptop may be stuck from liquid spilled on it, and or you simply need a drivers update. start off by adding a backup qwerty keyboard that plugs in via usb to bipass the current issue at hand so you could trouble shoot the cause, to find a better solution, and or bringing it into a technician to replace the whole onboard qwerty keyboard on the laptop
You need to find right drivers for your laptop .
search on google as " windows drivers for acer travel mate 5520 " if you do not know how to install drivers let me know .
scan you system with an anit virus as well
If you have a laptop with a touchpad just below the spacebar be careful that you are not accidentally hitting the touchpad. I had an identical problem on one of my laptops, and simply switching to using a mouse and turning off the touchpad fixed the problem for me.
Regarding the touchpad (curser pad), there maybe a problem with your touch pad driver not working or starting up. Check in "msconfig" (you can click on start and run, then type msconfig to bring it up) and click on the startup tab to check which of the startup items are not working.
Also regarding the card reader, i believe the drivers are not installed. Check in Device Manager (click on start /control panel /system icon /device manager) and see what is listed under "other devices"
It sounds like a hardware problem. Try getting a different keyboard and mouse to make sure there is not a button stuck somewhere. If not then i would wipe the drive and re-install the OS. Or do a recovery at boot up if running Vista.
Most probably because your 'Touch Pad Mouse' is touched by your palm (hand or something) while you are typing. Avoid contact with the mouse touch pad while typing.
If you have a centre moveable mouse on your laptop, start using it and disable the 'Touch pad mouse'
Best of luck!
