It needs to exported from the PDF as a image file like jpg, bmp, png... but to export it you may need Adobe Acrobat not just the reader. PDF files tend to locked. You could also capture the picture from the doc with print screen, but you will loose the original resolution.

Once you have the file exported, just open with Windows Picture viewer and set as backbround.

Hi idiehl271...

To use any picture for your background you must have that picture installed in the Ipod.
To install a different picture as a background picture do the following:

1...Turn on Ipod
2...Touch "Settings"
3...Touch "Wallpaper"
4...Touch the arrow in the middle of the window, next to the current wallpaper
5...Select pictures from "Wallpaper",Photo Library, ect.

How to create a power saving wallpaper on Samsung Galaxy S

The AMOLED screen of the Samsung Galaxy S (i9000, Captivate, Vibrant, Fascinate, and Epic) uses quite a bit of power. The screen can use half or more of your battery life throughout the day and can seriously decrease your battery lifespan. <br /> While the Live Wallpapers on the phone can look really neat, anytime a pixel on the phone displays a color other than black it is using power. The closer the color to white, the more power it is using. <br /> Create a picture file of all black in size 980x800. Save this file as a jpg and put it anywhere on your phone (that you will remember where you put it). This file will be found by your picture gallery. Go to the gallery and long press on this picture (or you can do it through Astro file manager) and select set as Wallpaper. <br /> It's not the most exciting wallpaper on the phone, but it will save quite a bit of power. <br /> You can further increase the power saving features by setting your screen brightness all the way down (don't use the auto adjustment).

I first scanned all the docs into the picture gallery. My professor needs them all in pdf format. How? I've got an HP Pavilion laptop. My professor's waiting for me to call her tonight when...

PDF format means legal form which is handled in Adobe Acrobat. You said you scanned your docs into the picture gallery, and I am hoping that you left them in the default format that your scanner uses instead of changing them to a picture format (like JPEG, or TIFF) or this may be too complicated to assist via email.

If you do not have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat & Adobe Reader, do a search on the internet and download then install them. They are free. Once the programs are installed, open Adobe Acrobat and click on "file" at the top left side of the screen and try and open one of the documents you saved in the picture gallery in the acrobate program. If they are compatible, all you have to do is rename and save the document in Adobe. To save it, after you have opened it in Adobe - click on file and then "save a copy" or "save as" and choose whatever the documents name is and .pdf at the end (save to a pdf format) and then you are done.

If the file format of the documents are not compatible and will not open and easily save in PDF format using the Acrobat, then I would suggest asking your teacher for an extension.

Good luck!

I have downloaded a document in word, but dont seem able to save it onto my desktop.

1. if you have downloaded it via firefox the try the menubar Tools>Downloads then you can see all the downloads that you have done.

2. if you haven't shown the path to where the file has to be downloaded then it will by default download into the libraries where it has m documents, music, pictures etc..
Libraries\Documents
Libraries\music so on

3. Easiest option to find it out would be to search the document on your computer, which would bring it up for you if it is downloaded properly.

please rate it. thanks

Can I scan a document to PDF?

any scanner, indeed any document, picture format can be saved as pdf. i would suggest first scanning the document as text (for example to words, or openoffice or indeed whatever you use as your document management program) and then port it (sort of print operation) to any free available "translator" program which allow you to save file as pdf. alternatively you can scan your document as jpeg and then save it as pdf, but this tend to produce very messy outlook and results are usually horrible.

Scan the file, and insert the picture into a Microsoft Word 2007 document, and use 'Save As', and select 'PDF' as the filetype.

Scanning docs & size of pdf files on Mac w/HP l7680 All-in-one

The scanner produces a "picture" of the document, much as if you laid it flat on a table and took a picture of it with your digital camera. If you did this, your .jpg from the camera would be several hundred K at a minimum - comparable to the file size off the scanner. That's why the file is so big, it contains a picture and not text data - even though it's still a .jpg file.
If you reduce the scan resolution you will save space, but at the expense of legibility of the document image. To get it down to the smallest possible size, you will need to run the scanned image through OCR ( Optical Character Recognition ) into a Word document for example, and then print it out to a .pdf file. If you have a clean source document with few graphics this isn't as difficult as it may seem. Microsoft Office has an excellent OCR process known as Document Imaging. You need to carefully proof read the result but with a clean input Document Imaging is amazingly accurate in Office 2007.
In short, there is no easy solution to your problem.
