Send some pictures to email@spartanphotocenter.com and we might be able to see what the issue is. Unfortunately, Slik doesn't carry spare parts so if the entire pan-head is broken you may need a new tripod.

SOURCE: How to Unscrew SLIK tripod head from the rest of tripod?

Below the tripod head you will see what looks like a "sandwich" of two chromed pieces of metal.  The lower one is the top of the tripod's center column.  The upper one is the bottom of the tripod head. Using wrenches or other tools, unscrew the upper one counterclockwise to separate it from the lower one. There is a 1/4" threaded stud which holds them together.
If you plan on replacing the head with a pro head like a Manfrotto, you will need a reducing bushing.  Most heads expect a 3/8" stud, and this tripod's thread is a standard 1/4" stud. The adapters are available through Wolf, Adorama, B&H, and the like.

2003 gmc envoy 4x4 problems. 4200 vortec engine. my front diff doesnt seem to be

The Selectable Four Wheel Drive (S4WD) Front Axle consist of the following components:
• Differential Carrier Housing
• Differential Case Assembly
• Inner Axle Shaft
• Intermediate Shaft Bearing Assembly (located on the right side of the oil pan)
• Electric Motor Actuator
The front axle on Selectable Four Wheel Drive (S4WD) model vehicles uses a disconnect feature mounted on the right side of the oil pan in order to engage and disengage the front axle. When the driver engages the 4WD system, the Transfer Case Control Module sends a signal to the electric motor actuator to energize and extend the plunger inside. The extended plunger moves the clutch fork and clutch fork sleeve across from the clutch fork outer gear that is splined to the right side wheel drive shaft to the clutch fork inner gear that is splined to the inner axle shaft. The locking of the two gears allows the axle to operate in the same manner as a semi-floating rear axle. A propeller shaft connects the transfer case to the front axle. The differential carrier assembly uses a conventional ring and pinion gear set to transmit the driving force of the engine to the wheels. The open differential allows the wheels to turn at different rates of speed while the axle continues to transmit the driving force. This prevents tire scuffing when going around corners and premature wear on internal axle parts. The ring and pinion set and the differential are contained within the carrier. The axle identification number is located on top of the differential carrier assembly or on a label on the bottom of the right half of differential carrier assembly. The wheel drive shafts are completely flexible assemblies consisting of inner and outer constant velocity CV joints protected by thermoplastic boots and connected by a wheel drive shaft.

CHANGING FRONT AXLE

This link should cover most of it

http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/sa.pdf

You don't say what engine it is, but they are similar. There are a few things it is handy to know.

I'd recommend just swapping the axles out for new or reconditioned complete assemblies. They are cheap enough and it's much faster. Starting at p 22

- step 2b, don't just depend on the trans, step on the brake pedal as it says

- step 4, the tool is one of these, good to have and widely available
http://www.international-auto.com/images/originals/tie_rod_remover.jpg

- step 7, they are 6 socket head or allen screws. You can cut a piece off an allen key and stick it in a matching socket. You will have to turn the axle with the trans in neutral to get them all

- step 9, support the end of the axle as it comes out of the trans, so as not to damage the oil seal

- step10a, the lock bolt has a little plastic plug on top of it. It may stay in there or fall out, so watch for it

- step 10b, this very difficult as shown. You can more easily use a long screwdriver to push up on the lower ear of the snap ring until it comes out of its groove. Then, the axle may not slide out easily. Where the lock bolt was, that is an intermediate bearing in a support ring. The bearing often sticks in there, and you have to tap gently on convenient spot on the axle flanges until the bearing comes out of the support. On reassembly, smear a little moly grease on the outer ring of this bearing. Support the axle as it comes out of the trans so as not to damgae the oill seal.

- p25, step 3, it is easier to place a small plain washer over the ears of the snap ring to keep it compressed, and when in place, flick this washer off with a long screwdriver and push the snap ring into its groove. Use a new one if you feel keen, I did not and it has been no trouble.

-p27, step 2c, if you do decide to dissamble the axles, this positioning of the c-washers is essential

- step 4b, hang a rag over this operation, or the snap ring will fly away and vanish forever

-step 4c, it may simply drop out of its own weight

- step 7b-d, all this is why you should just get exchange axles, they are cheap enough. You may even not go this far, if you are only replacing the boots

-p33, step 9, lots of people use heavy gauge plastic cable ties instead of the metal boot bands which need a tightening tool. I did, and they have been OK, but I anticipate they will go brittle at some point. Easy to replace in situ.

I replaced the snap ring and retainer because they were both broke and still no luck with overdrive working

Overdrive would not engage at 35+ mph. Took trans pan off, removed filter, dropped valve body out. Found broken snap ring on overdrive servo. Removed and replaced snap ring. Opened valve body and found 1 of the broken pieces stuck in a valve. Replaced all valve body gaskets. Put valve body back in with 95 in/lbs torque. Put in new filter. Pan on with 120 in/lbs or 10 ft/lbs. Refill with trans fluid. Run through gears. Lower vehicle. Test drive.

How to you change out abroken oil stick in a 2006 pontiac vibe

If your question is buying a replacement, go to this link and you can buy brand new one cheap:

http://www.newpontiacparts.com/seccat/vibe-813/2003/dipstick-30472/3/30472/

If your question is how to remove and replace a broken dipstick, have the oil pan pulled and have the broken piece pulled from the bottom of the pan. Then go to the above address and buy a new one. That is the most efficient and cheapest way to go.

How do i replace the rear wheels on the refrigerator?

Hello.

The wheels are held in pace with a pin (axle). Bur in order to make enough room to slide the pins out you have to lower the bottom pan. There are risks in doing so. From the back of the unit you will see two hex head bolts at the outer corners holding the bottom pan to the refrigerator. The cabinet will have to be elevated enough to drop the pan, back only, just a couple of inches. That will give you enough room to slide the pins out, change rollers, and reverse steps to assemble.
But when you lower that pan, you will put stress on the tubing and the solder joints connecting the sealed system (compressor. condenser, etc). Also, that pan slides into slots at the front of the ref, so once the back bolts are out the pan can slide out of those slots and it can be real tough sliding it back into position with the cabinet suspended. Meanwhile you're stressing those joints even more. To repair a crack/leak would be very expensive.I have had to change some constructed this way, but if it was my refrigerator, I would give other things a try first. Maybe those furniture sliders, or a piece of carpet nap side down, or...
You can see which I favor of, but you have enough information to make the repair if you choose that option.
A pair of roller, part # 4388239, will cost about $35.00. Cost to repair a leak, $300.00-$400.00?

Hope this helps you.

Broken glass top inset ''burner ring''

If you are referring to the bakelight material, this is an insulating compound and the burner still may work. I would not use this long term in this manner however. This material insulates as well as helping maintain an even heat transfer of the burner. Long term use, may cause damage to the cooktop. The burners are replaceable, but the prices vary depending on the size of the burner. The part numbers are as follows:

6" radiant heat burner - WB30T10129
8" radiant heat burner - WB30T10132
9" radiant dual heat burner - WB30T10133

You can view these parts at searspartsdirect.com under the "Cooktop" heading. You may find the parts cheaper at these other websites, by searching for them using the part numbers provided:

pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary at the other websites. Sometimes they may not carry the model number, but the part numbers are still listed.

If you have further questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.
