Question about Computers & Internet
Uses the Intel 945GZ motherboard chipset,
Brought out in the mid 2006.
PCI Express 1.1 technology came out in 2005;
PCI Express 2.0 technology came out in 2007,
Therefore the Gigabyte GA-945GZM-S2 uses the PCI Express 1.1 technology.
The Radeon HD6850 is based on the PCI Express 2.1 technology.
PCI Express 2.0 technology is backward compatible, with PCI Express 1.1 technology.
I have read problems on the internet, with graphics cards based on the PCI Express 2.1 technology, and being used on a motherboard with the PCI Express 1.1 technology.
I don't have any personal factual data, to support that statement with.
Just passing what I have read, on.
System Requirements -
550 Watt or greater power supply.
That is all
And now back to you Gort..................................

SOURCE: how formate
Sure you can format, as long as you partition the drives into something smaller. Spit the size up and see if it formats that way. Why do you want such a large drive anyways, Defrag would be a nightmare with that size.

SOURCE: got ga 945 gzm -s2
All the drivers you need are available directly from gigabyte, you just have to chose which revision of the board you have from the list. The revision number is usually printed right next to the model number on the board.
hope this was helpful.
