Scaleo 600 how can i connect to internet from modem?

Plug your modem up to your phone line & plug in the power cord. If you are using an ethernet cable its should plug into the modem and into your computer. If you are connecting wirelessly, make sure you card has a wireless network card or that you have a wireless adapter. If it still doesn't work you may have to call you internet provider to make sure the modem settings correct.

I went through several modems in a week due to a multitude of lightning hits. My modem always reported itself as fine, but it never worked. I would guess that your old machine doesn't use some feature which was destroyed. I would try to find a cheap adapter; they can be found for $10 or so.

My modem is working correctly. My wireless router is working, but my laptop doesn't recognize my modem; therefore, I cannot access the internet. I can if I plug the Ethernet cord into my laptop.

There's a lot of layers to what can go wrong, generally speaking you should be able to get online if two conditions are met: You are connected to your wireless network, and your modem is assigning an IP address to your router.

Once you know you are connected to your wireless network (you should be able to see the correct network name when you put your mouse over the computer icon in the lower right - assuming you are using Windows), you can generally fix most situations where the modem is not assigning the router an IP address by resetting the devices in the proper order, here's how:

1. Unplug the power cord from both the modem and the router
2. Wait 1 full minute
3. Plug the power back in on the modem
4. Wait for the Cable light to go solid
5. Plug the power back in on the router

This will solve the vast majority of issues. If it does not, double check to make sure the ethernet cord from the modem is going into the proper plug on the router. Usually this is going to be labeled "Internet", "Modem", or "WAN", in stead of a number.

If even this does not resolve the issue, feel free to give your ISP a call. While this may be a problem with the router, most ISP employees are at least willing to do minor preliminary troubleshooting, and will often have access to advanced tools to help them see what the modem can see.

I accidentally plugged the router out and now my Internet connection doesn't work. The local network connection is displayed as working and responding nevertheless. The second and fourth (starting...

Power down your router and computer. Wait 15 seconds, then turn on the router first, then the computer. If this doesn't work, you can also try rebooting the modem as well. You will then need to power all three down, then start with the modem and wait a minute as it boots up and runs its auto-tests, then the router, then the computer.

IBM ThinkPad T40: the problem is the following Modem HSP56 MR( Intel) doesnot work, Other devices:Nework Controller and unknown device doesn't work

Windows is missing the "device-drivers" for your network adapter and your modem.

On a different computer, access IBM's ThinkPad web-site, and download those device-drivers for your T40. Copy the device-drivers to either a CD-writable or to a USB memory-stick.

Move the media to your T40, and install from that removable media.

I have made a connection to my wireless modem and a hub with a 15 meters long utp cable with a straight connection pattern. i got my modem connected but to my computer internet loading it takes to long to...

It could be the size of the cable, although the problem you're claiming shouldn't have been caused by that (actually, most CAT6 cables can go up to 100m), unless there's a small break in the wire somewhere internally that still allows connection, but is intermittent, the only way to figure this one out is to replace the cable with a temporary cable that will preform the same function. Then you can attempt connecting the modem and hub with a shorter cable, if that works, then it's the length. And if that doesn't work, attempt to connect straight into the modem, if this works, then it's your wireless hub. And if that STILL doesn't work, close down ALL other tasks on your computer that require internet, and just try to use your web browser. And the FINAL option is attempting to replace your modem, but this is the last ditch effort.
I hope this helps!

error 691 can sometimes be an error on behalf of the systems of the provider whom owns the device. for example, telstra have a system which collects the customers details and the wireless cards sends information back to telstra to create your account. if by chance you have tried to re run the cd and done a full account install for the second time telstras systems may not be able to handle this. the wireless device u have may have a IMEI number (its like a registration number/serial number) which has been registered twice now and if this is the case telstras systems would have a fit and would fail to continue to allow the card to be used. this is not a guarantee and most consultants there would refuse to believe this is the case but while i was working there this was a very common issue and needed to be escalated.if it is not the issue then i have no other answers. 691 was a common error at telstra. also why did u buy evdo when the evdo network is being closed down and 3g is starting?
