SOUND CARD DRIVER OR AUDIO DRIVER FOR THE SERTAIN PROGRAM DIDNT GET LOADED WHEN INSTALLED THE PROGRAM OR THE FILE GOT CORUPTED FOR USING IT ALOT.

YOU MAY NEED TO DOWNLOAD THOSE AUDIO COMPRESSION FORMAT OR BITMAP CONVERT BUT NOT BITMAT FOR SAY YOU NEED A SOUND COMPRESSION FORMAT CONVERTER OR A TRANSLATOR PROGRAM, THERE AGAIN THE DRIVER FOR THE DEVICE SO IT WILL WORK PROPERLY.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

if you are runninf windows XP VISTA or 7 you can right click on the sound icon in the system tray on the taskbar and select "Playback Devices" select the audio output you are using ( speakers, HDMI or optical ... the one theat has a hreen checkup icon ar the bottom right side of the symbol is the default one ) push the "Properties" button ... the properties window will appear. In the prop window go to the "Enhancements" tab ( normally the fourth one ) and uncheck the "Voice cancellation" checkbox.click Apply than OK, then again OK. If you don't have the Sound icon in the SysTray just go to control panel, hardware and sound, Sound and do the same. The other way around is from The ACER HD Audio Manager ( the audio driver interface that can be also be found in Control Pannel ->> Hardware and sound ->> Acer HD Audio Manager( "Control Pannel Home" view ) or simply Control Pannel->> Acer HD Audio Manager(classic view of control pannel). In the Acer HD Audio Manager go to the "Sound Effects" tab ( the second usually ) and there is a Karaoke option; if it has a red mark in the mouth are than click on the karaoke icon ... it is the equivalent of voice cancellation from the Enhancements tab from Sound ->> Properties. In Linux go to System ->> Administration ->> Sound configuration or something like that and you should find a close match for windows voice cancellation. Thank you for contacting Acer America. I apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced. I suggest you try reinstalling the software and driver for the OrbiCam. I am providing these instructions below.

1. Move your mouse over the Empowering technology widget and click on the eRecovery Manager icon or you may also press ALT and F10 on the keyboard to start the program. Please note: The first time you access the eRecovery feature, you are prompted to create a password. If you forget it then you will have to use the recovery discs to reformat the system.
2. In the next window look at the bottom of the window and choose Restore.
3. Now choose Reinstall Applications/Drivers
4. Choose Install
5. Click on Windows Vista on the left side of the page
6. Choose Applications and then choose CCD. It may also be under Camera in the drivers section.
7. On the right click the install link and follow the prompts.
8. The system may restart when installation is complete
Do not allow the system to shut down during this process. Plug in the AC adapter if necessary.

Respectfully,
Acer America

This is a warning message due to improper sentting of your messanger and your net-protocol. Allthough even then you can make your voice-chat without any problem. So dun wrry just ignore the message.

Acer orbi cam

There is a utility bar that you can install that lets you change the default application folder:

** Note ** When the My Pictures or Pictures folder gets full, camera will not work - Cut and Paste all pictures in that
folder to another folder and restart Orbicam program.

If that does not work then do this:

Start - Programs - look for Acer Empowering Technology then Acer E-Recovery - The look at the bottom and you will
"Backup", "Burn disk" and Restore" choose Restore - choose Apps and Drivers at the bottom of Restore tab (it will say
extracting) - once extracted - click Install - click Vista or (XP) on the left - click Drivers - click Camera or CCD - on the
right side of the screen, then look for Bison driver or (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) you have then click a phrase that has something like "Install now", follow on screen instructions. Then repeat steps above and instead of driver choose Bison (or your model which can be found in device manager - control panel - system - device manager - Imaging devices) Utility

Vista and yahoo voice compatability

Hi,

I had the same problem(s) with Vista and Yahoo Chat. I ended up with a simple workaround that doesn't involve downloading codecs etc., from 'suspicious' places, that may or may not work with your particular flavor of Vista..

First, go here: http://www.ymessengerblog.com/blog/2008/05/29/new-release-of-yahoo-messenger-90-beta/ and get the newest Yahoo Messenger 9.

Then go into a Yahoo Chat room. (I'd suggest one of the romance ones as there are usually quite a few attention strarved women and desperate men chatting away on mics.) When you click on the "Voice" button, you'll probably see this,
"this computer does not appear to have input, or it is not configured correctly" (which doesn't seem a whole lot better than the original compression issues,) BUT, all you have to do is plug in a microphone and everything works just tickety-boo. If you don't have a mic, just plug some headphones INTO the INPUT for the mic. You'll still hear everything just fine through your speakers.

It's not an ideal solution but unless someone out there remembers more than I do about their days as a 'sound guy' for local bands, it shouldn't do any harm.

Good luck.
