How long should your jump rope be for exercising?

If you are 6 feet or shorter, than the rope should be 9 feet long. This is the standard jump rope size found in stores. If you are over 6 feet then you'll need a 10 foot rope. Generally, when you hold the rope and stand on the middle with your feet, each end should reach your arm pit.

What is a jump rope workout for a beginner?


I jump for 30 seconds and then rest for 60 seconds and do this about 3-4 times in a row. I do this 3 times a week with a day break between each workout. Once I manage to do this without dying, I'll start jumping for longer amounts of time before taking a break.

How many calories can you burn jumping rope?


This will depend on your weight, the amount of time you exercised, and the intensity. I weigh 190 pounds and usually jump rope for 1hour at an intensive speed . I usually burn about 1035 calories a workout. At a slower pace, I would only burn 690 calories. My workout buddy weighs 150 and usually burns about 730 calories in 1hour.

If I have weak knees, is jumping rope a good exercise for me?


Yes it is! Jump rope is considered a low level plyometric exercise, a low impact exercise. High level plyometric exercises are bad for weak knees. You should always be careful though. Try to land on the balls of your feet and not the heels and make sure to keep your knees lax. It is always a good idea to consult with your athlete/physiotherapist/trainer.

Slowly walk ahead until you see the jumping Kritter. Jump on him when you get under the high rope and ride up, jump to the left and use ther barrel to break the wall and enter a bonus level. You have to spell out KONG. The prize is an Expresso token. After exiting, jump off and jump onto the two Kritters. Jump onto the rope. At the top, jump off, pick up the DK barrel and kill the Army with it. Jump onto the rope, and when you get to the top, jump off and you will land on the K

Run to the right and jump onto the rope. In the middle there is a barrel. Choose Diddy before you pick it up. Jump down and break it into the left wall to enter the bonus level. In this level, you have to spell out NINTENDO. You win a red balloon if you do this. After the bonus level, run right, and kill the army, and jump over the Zinger onto the rope. When you get to the top, jump onto the left rope to avoid the Zinger, then the right, then the left. Jump to the left, and if you want the banana bunch, kill the Necky and jump up there. Go through the small gap, and jump on the Army if you got Donkey. Jump high on the rope and quickly jump to the other side. Walk down the slope and jump on the Kritters. Jump on the first rope, go down a little, jump to the second then quickly jump onto the third tope and into the checkpoint barrel. Walk left and avoid the Klap-Trap, jump onto the rope and into the auto barrel. wait until a jumping Kritter comes. Jump on him, then climb the rope to get the O and two banana bunches.

Jump back down and run to the right, avoiding the two Klap-Traps. When you get on the rope, on the first three ropes, jump immediately to the right. But on the fourth rope, wait and then jump back onto the third rope to reach a bonus level. Go to the far right rope, watch out for the three Zingers. Jump to the right and get the N.

Take the DK barrel, and throw it on one of the two Zingers. Go above or below, depending which one you hit, the Zinger and jump on the rope, and jump to the left. Take the rope to the top, and then take the six ropes and jump to the left. Then jump the rope and jump to the other side. You should be next to the red arrow now. Jump onto the two down ropes. Always hold up during this section. Hold northwest and northeast depending which rope you are on. When you reach the top, jump over and hit the G. Run to the right and Exit.

Some tips of using this resistance rings while traveling is

Be realistic. Aim to complete 15-20 minutes of exercise per day with a variety of CV and strength training. This will guarantee you maintain your levels of fitness while away.
•Pack your jump rope for cardiovascular training. Skipping increases the heart rate, burn a lot of calories and is great for improving endurance, core stability, coordination, balance and foot speed.
•Pack your resistance tubes. Tubes are a fantastic option for strength training. Exercises are for the entire body, they allow you to train anywhere, anytime with results.


Some other tips:
•Exercise before you leave. This will keep your metabolism high during your flight.
•Stay well hydrated. Drink one glass for every hour while on the plane and avoid alcohol and coffee.
•Never travel hungry.
•Walk and stretch every hour while on the plane to increase blood circulation and reduce muscle stiffness, fatigue and jet lag.
•When you arrive try to get outside. The sun will automatically help to reset your body clock.
