Try to tap the "Klix-on".
Underneath the refrigerator, right along side of, (or mounted on) the compressor, is a pair of electrical devices that looks like one piece.
It is smaller that your right fist.
One of the two pieces is an electrical switch called a "Klix-on".
If you will tap that part with a hammer lightly, it should allow the compressor to start running.
If it does, you will need to replace that part.
It is easy, it is held on with screws and has an electrical plug.
If you tap it and it does not start, tap it a little harder, but smashing it will only destroy it.
God bless your efforts.
