try doing a disc clean up as well as defrg..somtimes its the graphic drivers that can slow you down as well.
also try and get rid of anything you dont use anymore.such as pics,music,the more you fill the pc,laptop up it slows it down.
try removing the cmos battery on the laptop motherbord which will reset the laptop to factory defaults , if it is windows password u can format and reinstall windows .
