Monitor not display anything and it lighs just keep blinking

HI, I just got my old systems motherboard, RAM and SMPS replaced and when I tried to start my computer, I did not find any display on the monitor and the monitor light just kept blinking. Then I connect the monitor with my Dell laptop and outputted the laptop output onto the monitor and its displayed the laptop screen well. Then I again connected my computer to monitor and again it displayed nothing, just monitor light keeps blinking. So I took the cabinet of the computer to service center from where I purchased the motherboard and there my computer was displaying data onto there monitor. Nothing was wrong with the montherboard, CPU and RAM. So, I come home and again connected the computer to monitor and to my surprise it's not displaying anything. But displays data when connected to laptop. So I again took the computer sans monitor to the service center and there again it working fine. So that can be the issue?? Can anybody help.

Try re-seating the video cable. Try another monitor on this computer if you have one available. Try this monitor on another computer. That will narrow down where the problem lies. It's either the video card or the monitor which is bad. Of course if either is under warranty you may get a replacement, if not get your credit card ready :-) Good luck to you! =============== I would also look at the cable connection and see if there are any bent pins. This has caused issues for me in the past. Just be careful rebending the pins if any are bent. They are fragile and may snap off.

Hi, For your problem first check your SMPS or power supply unit. You can replace the SMPS to check It properly. Check the Ram of the system, You can try with another good ram to check it. If all are OK then you have to repair the mother display unit or have to replace motherboard display chip.

I have an Intel D845EPI/D845GVSR Motherboard with 512MB PC266 Hynix DDR1 RAM. When i switch on my PC, the system starts but, fails to display even the first screen that it is supposed to display...

Couple of items to try. First disconnect everything except the power and the CPU. Does it give you a beep code?

If not your either have a bad power supply, motherboard, or cpu. (Only if everything else is disconnected.)

Second, If you did get the beep code then put the memory in and see if the system starts to boot. (Try without the screen connected first. If it acts like is going to start turn it off, plug in the mouse, keyboard, and monitor and try again.) ** I have seen where an add on video card would keep the computer from starting so try with the on board video first.**

Third, start adding one extra piece at a time starting with the hard drive.

Let me know if this helps or not.

No output on Monitor

Check if any of the pins of the Keyborad PS2 jack. Looks loke during cleaning a few vital parts may heve moved. Unseat the RAM sticks and after cleaning insert it firmly. Check all cable and wires for snug tight connections. You could try to clean ur power switch too bt aerasol spray, but the main is the keyboard. Recheck for bent pins and/or any stuck keys on the keyboard. If evrything is OK and the PC still behves the same, try replacing the power supply (SMPS) with a properly functional one & if it works, simply buy a new SMPS and install it....sodeep

No beep, no display, tested power supply and comp. monitor, tested RAM and graphics- no probs.. new proccesor and motherboard still nothing...

Causes for no display are :
1. SMPS : Most likely, replace
2. RAM : Most likely, replace
3. Motherboard : likely if it is old
4. Processor : unlikely if it is Intel
5. Graphics Card : Try on board graphics
