SOURCE: I bought a samsung BX2231

Ii there,

if I understand you correctly you are connecting a pc/laptop to your screen and want to use the screen speakers.
On a laptop I would be surpirised if it doesn't auto setup the connection so maybe check the graphics property settings to see if there is anything obvious.
If this is the case, then most pc add-on graphics cards will require a connection to the audio device on the pc.
If you have an on-board audio device then look around the mainboard for a 2-3 pin connection labelled spdif, this is the connection you require. There should be a similar small connection on your graphics card.
You will need a small cable which you should be able to pick up at most pc shops and should be quite cheap. Once this is fitted restart the machine and see if you have sound from your screen. If not then there may be a setting in the graphics card software to set the audio (Mine is in the nvidia control panel and connection type is hdtv/audio enabled)
Hopefully this has been of some help.

Was dropped and now no power light comes on can I fix it

It could be that the hard drive is probably loose and is no longer connected to the enclosure sata controller. You can open the enclosure to see if something came loose. If it did then reconnect the parts and try to power it up. Worse case, you will have to get another enclosure for the hard drive should the enclosure is no longer operable. This is to say there was no damage down to the hard drive. Make sure warranty has expired before voiding warranty by opening enclosure.

HI I have a samsung syncmaster lcd monitor and the colour of the screen has change to greenish I have also reset the option in the menu but the problem still persist. please guide me!!!!!

The VGA cable you are using might not be seated correctly. Try removing it and replacing it.
If you have another monitor, can you see if that also goes green when you use it with this computer?
If all monitors go green when used with this computer then your problem is with the computer.
If the problem follows the cable, then the cable is the problem.
If the monitor stays green with a new cable on a new computer then the monitor is the problem.

If i select source to pc display will become blank and power indicator blinking.

• You can check if the product is working properly using the Self-Diagnosis function.
• If a blank screen is displayed and the Power LED blinks even if the product and the PC are properly connected, perform
the self-diagnosis function according to the procedures below.
1. Turn the product and the PC off.
2. Separate the signal cable from the product .
3. Turn the product on.
4. If the product is working properly, the message appears.
In this case, if a blank screen is displayed again, make sure that there is no problem with the PC and the connection. The
product is working properly.

Is a blank screen displayed and does the power LED blink at
a 1 second interval?

1. This occurs when the power saving function is running.
If you click the mouse or press any key, the screen will be
turned on.
2. This occurs when two monitors are connected,
is and Magictune is running. In this
case, characters on the Magictune OSD may appear
corrupted. To run the Magictune, the must
be set to . Please restart your PC, set the
to and run the Magictune.

Monitor on/off button flickers

Hi!
The reason why the button of your monitor flickers is because the 12 volts output supply for your inverter board is not stable..
If you have the skills and the right tools for this, Here's what you need to do
1. If your monitor comes with a power supply adapter, open it..check and replace blown capacitor with same value..
2. If your monitor is using a cable power cord..open the back cover of your lcd..on the power supply section.. check and replace blown capacitor.
3. Check and resolder the terminals for fixing possible loose connections.
4. On the inverter board section...check and resolder the terminals for fixing possible loose connections, the high voltage inverter usually loose connections when overheat.
5. Other things to check if step 1 to 4 did not resolve your problem. Check and replace burnt high voltage transformer.. Check and replace busted backlight inverter..

Hope this fix your problems..

thanks.. much appreciated if you rate this help.

My monitor syncmaster 920nw hissing with power and diod not shine

I will suggest not to plug this monitor into the AC outlet until you open it up and inspect the inside before more damages are done.
First palce to look will be he capacitors in the power supply, look for bad caps with bulging top/seal or leaking, burnt parts, loose connection, etc.
See example of failed SAMSUNG monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

How to know if the monitor is totally dead?

Generally, if the power light (LED) doesn't come on and there is no screen display with or without input signal, it's dead. Probably a failed power supply.

Samsung laptop black screen

Sounds like a loose connection between your mainboard, inverter or LCD. Try to connect an external monitor and see if the display appears to the external monitor. If a display appears on the external monitor, you need a qualified technician to check your laptop. I fixed 3 laptops with that same symptoms, 1 has loose connector, 1 has ground problem and the other is an inverter.

Dell E151FPb 15" LCD with power LED blinking.

The problem may be a loose connection. When I turn on my monitor, the green light blinks and a flickering white screen appears for a brief second every time. There must be a loose connection on the power board which may be causing this. The easiest solution is to tap at the back of the monitor. This will reconnect the loose end and the monitor will work fine until it gets disconnected again. I will open my monitor soon to find the real problem. But it will take some time to find it.

It might be the connection loose of power cord problem or check your TFT power connector inside the TFT if you can open the TFT screen!!! It may be dry solder….
Other wise go to repairer and do the same….!!!
