What is MTU value?

MTU, or Maximum Transmission Unit, specifies the largest unit of data that can sent over the network. While this setting is not generally required for the Wii console to communicate with a wireless network, if you are having trouble connecting or maintaining a connection, setting this value to "1500" may help.

How to connect nintendo 64 on a dish network tv

Can I connect my Nintendo to my Cable Box, my DVD, or my VCP (video cassette player)?
Your Nintendo system requires AV inputs to work. These products do not provide inputs. Connecting to them is not possible. Unless you get a blue plug for it to work then with the connection then.

Not enough mtu to go to xbox live at hotel

An MTU is the largest physical packet size, measure in Bytes that a network is capable of transmitting.. If messages are larger than the MTU they are divided into smaller packets before they can be sent. All networks have different MTU's which the owner of the network set at what they want to set it at. 576 is a very common MTU if you connect through PPP. 1500 is the most common MTU for Ethernet connections. The Xbox Live system requires your network to have a certain Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU). MTU values are important to the performance of online games. If this test fails, you can adjust the MTU setting on your network router or equivalent device to resolve the problem. Xbox live requires the network you use to have a maximum MTU. This is key to online gamesing. If the MTU fails then you have to adjust the router you are using. If you cannot access the router to adjust the MTU the you will not be able to play online games.

How do you fix a DNS Server problem.(80710092)

Digital network server (DNS) allows the device that has multimedia share resources on networks comprising several devices. For example, the administrator computer or prime device from where resources are shared to several devices predicts trend. Possible conditions with digital network servers are either related to being powered off causing the remaining devices to loss media broadcast. Such an instance is an assumption that a digital device network was established. Alternately, in a situation that newly acquired device has least ye been networked to several compatible device least broadcasts signals. Once acquired a new digital device either video games or computers, ascertain that computer devices require networking to share signals. In situations that the new device was wireless or wife compatible requires power on each device to set signal features that captures broadcasts. Usually the computer of digital device that performs as resource distributor allows setting features either as passwords, codes to allow accessibilities to recognizable device within the location that may capture similar experiences. In a situation that network device malfunctions means every devices that share resources are temporarily out of media until restore repair were made. As the digital network administrators or owner or operator of the device either computer or video games require establishing means to providing resources to alternate devices. For example, local network devices usually allow participating whenever the main device is in functionality. In situation that passwords were set for each entity that derives resources requires to retain the codes to attain an experience only when the main device is power functioning. Assume that a new digital video game provided resources several terminal display screens that also require passwords to capture an experience. Whenever the main devices were least function least make available a means to key code since resource from main device momentarily unavailable. In a situation where the main device providing resources were either malfunctioned or least powered attained by owner sponsor or operators, especially with recent device innovations displays network unavailable as logo message. In a situation that such a response were noticed require informing the network provider what is experienced since a malfunction observed would inmate repairs to where condition were expedited. Also. Notice informing the network administrators of least signal displays makes available alternate methods to provide signals. During recent innovations, wireless networks signals makes available signals to devices that are already installed with built-in components. The only condition with derive signals from another device is inform that a methods of reception be made available either as extensive cable mediums or wireless routers or modems in conditions that device require code conversions as wireless compatible but least media resources similar.

Trying to play nintendo on line. have a new wireless router/modem it is giving an error code of 52230 and says unable to connectg to server. any ideas?

Your nintendo consule without a technical malfunction should integrate to a network. The wii fii feature allows to network by wireless recognition of another consule on the network. The situation requires finding another consule owner to network with. Both consules would communicate by wii fii signals, only require recognising another consule owner that would allow device to device connectivity. keep in mind that, the error message is a computer message indicating a break in the link that could be created once another consule is recognised.

The error message would be intergrated into a network hub once each owner of the consule enable a feature on their device to accept communcation.

The wii fii feature only is advantage to the consule owner compared to connectivity that would have been performed by connection cables earlier in the invention of video gaming.

Find colleages with similar devices, inform them about wanting gaming network connectivity to allow possible network. keep in mind that, networking is a connection involvign entities where people are a requirement..

Your situation would be possible by human networking to make possible, device to device; that would only communicate when enabled features disabled.

Trying to play Call of Duty 1 playstion2 on PS3

Some games will do this if you are holding the control-stick any direction while starting the system.

Next time you play it, try holding the stick just slightly in the opposite direction to compensate as you start the system, or unplug the controller-hold the stick down, then plug back in ( while playing )

If that doesn't work, it might be time for a new controller. Or you could open it ( disconnect first ) and check around the stick for anything that might be pushing it up.

I need a printable version of how to hook everything up. Please. We have a PlayStaion2

  1. Place your ps2 in an area that will allow for plenty of airflow, and is relatively close to the television that you intend on hooking it up to.
  2. Step 2 Check your TV or monitor for available video inputs. The most common are composite cords, which come with a new PS2. This cord has one plug on one side, with the other side having three ends colored yellow, white and red.
  3. Step 3 Plug the single end of the video cord into the back of the PS2. Plug the other side of the cord into the corresponding colors in your video input on your television.
  4. Step 4 Plug the AC adapter (power cord), into the back of the PS2. The other side of the cord should then be plugged into the wall. A red right will appear on the front of the PS2, signaling that it is on standby mode, and receiving the required power.

Im trying to hook up to playstation network but it never works the wi-fi connection works on everything but the playstation network

Look in Network settings on the XMB there is a diagnostic tool in there, what is the signal of the network that the Playstation is receiving? Most people don't realise that if the PS3 is in a tv cabinet or unit or something that's going to block the signal and if it drops below say 50% you are going to keep dropping your connection, especially during an on-line gaming session where you ping is a priority. So... even if you are sat on a laptop next to the TV cabinet, the signal's probably not the same in the unit.
You could try running a network (ethernet) cable from your router to it to see if there is a software issue rather than a problem with the network.
The last thing to try is to login to your wireless router settings and go to the advanced settings and see if it is trying to block your playstation, on some routers you need to allow certain IP addresses etc. You could manually assign an IP address to your PS3 and then write it into the router settings...

Firewire connection for ps2 output

The I-link S400 port does not supply power to devices.  If your tv requires a powered S400 port, then the port is not capable of working.  Check the instructions for using firewire on your tv to see if it requires a powered S400 port.  From my experience, the S400 Firewire port is not a video output. The network connection your calling firewire is a slve type situation because is does not have a power output. You can connect the PS2 into a IEEE 1394 network, and that is supposed to be plug and play.
