Nothing on the screen. Fan is running. Power light, some LED lights: power supply, batt. charging. Normal "grinding" sound when starting up is gone. No beeps of any kind.

    Thanks

Try to boot using a windows cd and repair the windows installation. If this works you will be able to use your computer again and this won't delete your files.

A135-S???? Their are 39 different A135 on the website. Do you have a reinstall disk? If not you can download it from the TOSHIBA support website below. I believe it to be the last item on the list. If the disk cannot be installed because the computer has no power then the power supply or some connection to it is bad. If you can run the disk but it will not install then the hard drive went bad. Any more questions , please ask.   Thanks

Computer ''shuts down'' usually only when online.

If you re-formatted, it's probably just a coincidence about I tunes.
I would suspect an overheating problem. Open the side cover and check all the fans for dust, especially yhe CPU fan. You can blow the dust out with a can of compressed air. Try re-seating the RAM while you have the cover off. Good luck!
