What is rundll error on Dell Inspiron 1420?

I would uninstall AVG, it gets in the way and is not very good after running Advanced System Care from IOBIT. It is a freeware programme and will clean up the spurious stuff that gives you errors. Then install Microsoft Essentials as your anti virus programme. That is also free.

My windows xp no longer supports the system 32 rundII.exe connections

The rundll.exe is a critical core system file. If it has been corrupted then entire Windows is severely affected and it's too late to fix it. Make a backup of all your files while you still can and reinstall.

How do i remove run.dll2 from my computer?

    Hi,

Rundll.exe files are programs that are directly tied to the registry on Windows computers. Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files contain libraries of information used by other programs running on your computer. They were originally created in order to help computer programs run faster on the Windows operating system. When a DLL file is corrupt or missing, a Rundll error will be generated. Normally when a rundll error is generated it is related to malware.

    1. Note the process that is generating the Rundll error by examining the last file name in the error that ends in ".dll."
    2. Open the service configuration program on your computer by selecting the "Start" menu and typing "command" in the search text field. At the DOS prompt type "services:msc" and click "Enter."
    3. Select the DLL service from Step 1. Right click the service name followed by the "Stop" menu button. Exit the service configuration program.
    4. Open your computer's registry editor by typing "regedit" at the DOS prompt and navigate to the Rundll registry key by typing "Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" in the Search field.
    5. Select the registry key returned and in the value associated with the registry key, confirm it ends in the same DLL file name found in Step 1. If it does, single left click the value and Press the "Delete" key. Exit the registry editor.
    6. Restart your computer and the Rundll error will be corrected.

    Good luck!

Everytime i try to open an application or anything, it says the file "rundll32.exe" is not a win32 file, how do i change

    Hi hansomeone45

Maybe you have virus on your computer, and it has infected the file rundll32.exe and therefore you cannot use it.

You can try several things I explain here :

IF you have a backup copy of your hard disc´s you can restore from the backup copy.

You can try to system restore in at the : start- all programs- accessories- system accessories- system restore
or in : start- help and support- and there find "system restore"

System restore will roll back the computer as it was before (day, week, month ago).

You can reinstall the computer for the procedure please look here :
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315341

You can read about the file here :
    http://en.kioskea.net/contents/processus/rundll32-exe.php3

Or you can try to run this app :
    http://www.rundll-exe.com/

    OR
    http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1945037

Remember you can try to copy the file from another computer to your computer !

    Hope that helps
    Have a nice weekend

    RUNDLL

The first thing you must do is to identify the specific rundll process. This is not a difficult task; there is a vast online process library in which you can evaluate the validity of the process that is running. When the error dialog box opens make not of the process name. For example if the dialog pops up and shows you the dll error:

    Error loading C:WINDOWS\ system32\ usvdgpo.dll

Visit www.processlibrary.com. Copy and Paste the dll or simply type it into the search box. The results will indicate that the program is a part of trojan spyware.

    STEP 2: STOP THE PROCESS

Often you can locate the Run Dll in the exe services. You can open up your services configuration by following instructions below:
    1. Open your Start menu.
    2. Click Run
    3. In the command screen type:services.msc
    4. This will bring up the Services Management window. If you drag the mouse to one of the services. It will give you a detailed explanation of the service in question. By right clicking the individual service.
    5.Stop the "dll"service immediately.

    STEP 3: LOCATE AND DELETE

You will have to open your Windows Registry File System. This is an extremely delicate process. You may want to use a good registry cleanerThis will often fix the dll error in question, eliminate other errors and also speed up your computer. The registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ RUN

This action will help you speed up your applications load times considerable. Here is how:

    1. Click Start
    2. Click Run
    3. Type regedit
    4. Find this registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ RUN

    5. In the right section click:"rusvdgpo" = "%System%undll32.exe %System%usvdgpo.dll, [RANDOM LETTERS]"
    6. Delete the value and Restart.
