I'm afraid Apple devices and Microsoft applications don't work well together (they are rival companies and while microsoft does have apps available in the app store, Microsoft Office apps are nowhere to be found), and you cannot move any 'tasks' from Microsoft office applications to any Apple device. There are, however, many apps available to iPhone in the App Store that have functions similar to Outlook.

Hyperlink as the name suggests, is a connection that links two files or objects with respect to their location.
if the location changes then the link is cut, so it wont function.
if u have moved doc from one pc to another then it's more obvious that the link has broken due to the loaction, though the folder or file which is located in some specific direcotry remains as it is, but it has changed it's properties of address.
a telephone located in your house has a specific number, now if you either change your tel number or change your house then obvioulsy the link is cut so no one can dial in and talk to u.
first try to see the cursor is not within the cell blinking cause sometimes when the cursor is within the cell it traps the controls and will not able to function on your desire output. so try to observed it again.
it sounds like you hit either the switch or the key combo that shuts off the touch pad, I had a guy yesterday whose cat did the same thing to his, look for the switch mine is on the laptop sensor on my hp pavillion 9700, if you can't figure what you hit type in the model name and number and I will fin it for you
