Try unplugging computer power cable for ten minutes, if computer is a laptop, also try removing battery for few minutes.

This will drain power and can fix some problem on USB port.

To get files from USB, check also if the removable disk is displayed under 'my computer' .

Note: Usb players cannot usually play or record while they are connected to USB.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, download, install and run HP Drive Key Boot Utility and just use its format feature. Formatting of course would delete all existing files, check for errors and prepares the unit as a FAT device.

Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Lost charger for samsung yp-k3 2gb mp3

The MP3 player is charged by connecting the supplied USB cable to the MP3 player and then plugging the other end of the USB cable into the USB port of a working computer.
You can also purchase a 5 volt mains USB adapter. Connect the MP3 player and USB cable to this 5 volt mains USB adapter to charge the MP3 player.

My sony nwz-s638f is not charging if i put it in the plug how can i make it work?

Hi,

Please make sure that the Computer is recognizing the Walkman when connected to the USB port.

Make sure that you're using the supplied USB cable for connecting to the Computer.

If you use the portable player for the first time, if you have not used it for a long time, or the battery is depleted, it may take up to 5 minutes for it to be recognized or start charging. On models with a display, the display will remain blank. If it the portable player is not recognized or does not begin to charge after waiting 5 minutes, reset the player by pressing the reset button.

Disconnect the USB cable from the portable player and then reconnect.

Check the connection status again.

Disconnect the USB cable from the computer and then reconnect.

Check the connection status again.

Check for available space on the player using Windows Media Player or My Computer.

Restart the computer.

Check the connection status again.

Check that the USB cable is firmly connected to both the computer and the player.

Check the connection status again.

If the player is connected to a USB hub, disconnect it and connect it directly to the computer with a dedicated USB cable.

Check the connection status again.

If the player is still not recognized by the computer, disconnect all devices connected to the computer with a USB connection and restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, connect only the Walkman player and test the connection again.

If the player is still not charged by the computer, try a different USB port.

Thanks for using FixYa.

How to put msic on it

Hi,
Install the Windows driver included in the product package before connecting your Sylvania MP3 player. Insert the included driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and run the setup file if it does not load automatically. This driver makes sure your computer can recognize and operate the Sylvania MP3 player.
  • 2 Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the Sylvania MP3 player.
  • 3 Insert the other end of the same USB cable into the USB port on the computer.
  • 4 Wait for the computer to recognize the Sylvania MP3 player as a connected device. Open your file manager or browser to locate the Sylvania MP3 player as a drive or connected device if your computer does not prompt you automatically.
  • 5 Open the file folder containing the MP3 or WMA digital music files you wish to download to your Sylvania MP3 player.
  • 6 Drag and drop the file or folder icons of your desired digital music onto the Sylvania MP3 player device icon. Drag and drop the digital music into open folders within the Sylvania MP3 player device icon as well.

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A MP3 PLAYER WITH NO INSRUCTIONS

Hi, what you need first is a usb cable that will connect your mp3 player with your computer, after getting this, connect the usb cable to side of your mp3, and the other end to your usb port on the computer system. Wait for sometime for your computer to recognize the usb and mp3 player.

Open your music files on your computer, right click on the folder and click on send to, select your mp3 player, and send all the music you want to transfer from your computer to the mp3 player to it.

I wish you best of luck.

Creative Zen Vision M won't charge it's battery.

check your usb cable...i had the same problem...

I have a usb cable that came with it ( or some other mp3 player i bought), but it is way too short, so i bought a cheap ($1) and longer usb cable. The computer recognizes the mp3 when connected, but it wont charge with the long and cheap cable.

Maybe you also have a long (or short) cheap usb cable...or maybe your usb cable is plain broke...

I cannot connect my mp3 player to the pc

This model had a proprietary USB cable - it doesn't work with just any USB cable (also, it does not work with Windows Vista, or with Windows Media Player 10). Your computer has to be running Windows XP, and you have to be using Windows Media Player 10. here is an auction for the proprietary USB cable (may end at any time):

My mp3 says waiting for usb cable connection!

    Triple Reset for GoGear:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player.

Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

    Still messed up.

hi yes it should be in recovery mode when doing this
does the firmware tell you when to connect the mp3 player to computer once in recovery mode open firmware file then when it asks to connect then plug into your comp if it dont work this way then plug into comp before opening firmware file give this way a try also.
But the mp3 player needs to be in recovery mode whilst doing this

if this still dont work then try a different usb port failing this then their is a problem with either the cable or usb port or conection on mp3 check cable and connections at both ends make sure no dirt or paper is stuck in mp3 end ok

Let me know what happens ok

My mp3 does not connect to my computer

Try this link - they have udated drivers for your player, which hopefully will solve the problem; http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/en-US/Downloads.html?ProductID=RD1070 Try a different cable also, and check by plugging it into a usb port on another computer that the problem is not with your usb ports. Hope this helps :)
