You may need to start a new account because it may reference your ISP address to log on all just because of change of address.Isn't technology wonderful?I am not 100% sure but that's what it sounds like.
Here is a toll free link to Sony to make sure.Good luck and game on!

My gaming picture seems magnfied, it was not before , I just moved and wonder if settings need to be changed?

If anything needs to be changed it would be a setting on the TV, it sounds like the TV is set to ZOOM mode. Look for a mode / picture button to see if you can adjust the picture to get it to "Full" or "Standard".

My playstation will not read dvd's and just recently stopped reading games. I'm just wondering how to reset the entire system

  1. From the XMB™ home menu, go to icn_settings.gif(Settings) > icn_syssettings.gif(System Settings) > [Restore Default Settings].

  2. Once you select [Restore Default Settings], you will see a list of settings that will be restored. Scroll through them and press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton to restore the settings.

  3. After the operation is complete, you will see the initial setup screen that appeared the first time you turned on the PLAYSTATION 3.
You will need to go through the initial setup process before you can use the PLAYSTATION 3.
The Restore Default Settings feature will erase any previously saved settings and restore all of the following settings to the default:
  • BD/DVD Settings
  • Music Settings
  • Chat Settings
  • System Settings
  • Date and Time Settings
  • Accessory Settings
  • Display Settings
  • Sound Settings
  • Security Settings
  • Network Settings
  • Internet Browser Settings
Read this next paragraph carefully!!!!!!
Also, do not confuse "Restore Default Settings" with the "Restore PS3 System" option (the next option down on the menu). The "Restore PS3 System" will not only restore the default settings, but it will also delete all hard disk content. (You will lose all saved content from your PS3 system's hard drive if you use "Restore PS3 System.)

Sound all of a sudden stopped working

Remove any games from unit. Remove unit from charger, if that is its condition. remove battery from unit. Allow unit to sit for 5 min. replace battery. Power up unit, re-set initial settings and check for sound. No sound? wire inside unit going to slide switch for volume has come detached, or switch itself gone bad.

Check setup and setting to make sure sound is not muted, although I do not recall that being one of the options.

Some days it works some days it won't

Get a can of compressed CO2 ( Dust-off stuff) and shoot it around inside where the laser and disc go ( be CaREFUL around the laser lens) it's whimpy.
Clean the laser lens with pure alcohol and let dry.

Playstation 3 console not displaying on tv screen

Make sure all the video cable connections are plugged firmly into the back of the PS3
The sound you are hearing indicates that you are on the right track. To get the video to work you will need to select the correct channel on your TV set. Connect the video cables (yellow) to the video INPUT of the AV port of your TV and then change to the AV channel on your TV set to view the picture.

Please let me know if this did not fix your problem

No video output on ps3

If you have trouble on the video output settings on your PS3 try this possible solutions.

a. if recently used a HDMI cable then change the connection back to the Component cable try to check your settings first

b. while on stand by mode try to press the power button right next to the eject button for about 3 to 5 sec. until you here the double beep sound

c. if you have HDMI cable and there
is still no video but sound only try to plug out the connection from the PS3 unit and plug it again.

if this doesn't solve the problem you need to take your PS3 to sony cause the problem would be in *********** board

XBOX 360 - No display

Did somebody mess with the tv inputs?  Or Tv settings.  Make sure the green blue, red, cables are on good from the back of the tv set.
