    i am using bsnl broadband when i installed ms office there is a message appeared you may be a victim of software counterfeiting .. could u plz solving problem without purchasing??

    1. does your system give you any solutions? or yust a notification?

    2. do you have multiple antivirus, or antispyware programs on your PC?

It is the update kb905474 which came in as part of the latest updates.
It also installs the "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting" splash screen before/during start up of windows.
The removal of the hollow star is quite simple but there is no option of uninstalling the update(so far)
Read this:

and you "can" delete(rename) this to get rid of the star:C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\wgat ray.exe

You want to remove Windows Genuine Advantage.

In doing so it will strip all the security features Mirosoft uses to check if you copy of windows is owned.

This may well be a bogus message.
If your computer has been working just fine, then I would first try to do a system restore back to when you didn't get the message.
I would then scan the machine with a program like malwarebytes which you can download free from
If this is on a computer that is new to you, I'd visit and look up counterfeiting or pirated software. There is help there.
Of course, if you installed a pirated operating system or program, you're getting the right message.
