New battery for my Packard Bell EasyNote wont hold charge
I had to replace the battery in my P/B easy note, and after charging the battery for 24 hours or more it tells me the thing is running out of power when i turn it on? This is the second one I thought the first one was faulty and sent it back. any idea's firstname.lastname@example.org

Modern batteries do talk to the laptops and provide information on health. Ordinarily, this message would mean that your battery is on its way out. If however, it holds its charge then fine, but at some stage you may find that you only get a few minutes use even on a full charge and you will need to find a replacement.
the short cable running from the power button to the main board has
probably snapped where it passes over the RH hinge. remove the screen
surround to gain access to the power on switch area and check. it would
seem to be a common fault with the packard bell
I recommend that everyone should have a cheap multimeter at home; they can be had for <$20 US and would be of help in sorting out your problem, whether the power pack or the battery is at fault.
They are always accompanied with a Chinglish instruction brochure that will be enough to let you do basic things.
