Im sorry but you can't without the original remote. If you want to consider getting the remote go to http://www.remote.com or maybe you can borrow one from a freind or a local store that sells Emerson will let you borrow one. Good Luck

Your problem could be a bad focus pack, a bad convergence board or a problem in the power supply board. If you know how to read a schematic diagram, I suggest that, that is the first thing you should invest in. If you do not understand how to service solid state circuit boards, read a schematic, or use a multimeter, my best advice to you would be to call in a servicer for Samsung, as there is a lot of high voltage inside these puppies even when you unplug them. This is not a place to be experiementing around inside of. Good Luck with this repair.

Go back in the menu, find (input source) or (tuner) then click the cursor right side of the menu button or the left to move the (TV) to (CATV), after you bring it up then move cursor arrow up or down to page (AUTOPROGRAM) then tap the cursor arrow right of the menu button to start the CATV channels to be found , be sure you have the cable connected to the TV. Once the channels have been found, tap (EXIT) or (STATUS) button on remote to get out of the menu and close the page, or just turn set off and back on again.

Hi.
You havent listed your TV model but most Samsung sets that are digital will have A button on the remote marked DTV this will tell set to look at the digital chans.
Now try & go in to the menu & select tuning & scan the digital chans in.
One other thing are you in an area of the UK that can pick up digital channels without changing your aerial.
