Problem: Adobe refuses to install over existing older version of Adobe (Installer dialog box reads: "Error writing to file:*file* verify that you have access to that directory")
Cause: Maybe the OS has that file open.
· First Unlock and move/delete or rename, *file* (and/or its folder) (older version?)
· Then tell installer to "ignore" fact that this folder is missing. (Adobe re-creates folder with its later version of the *file*)
· Also, try this:
1. Give access permission via the file's "Security" tab
2. Start in the safe mode,
· to delete the files or
· turn off the services using the files.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
