SOURCE: i have a carrier lp

If you remove the front panel, you will find a diagnostic error code chart that will help you diagnose the issue. Usually it is either a pressure switch code or a high limit code. Check your air filter, condensate hoses for blockage, check the venting for any sags or water trapped and any debris blocking the exhaust or air intake vents.

Check the door lock motor and switch assembly to ensure that the switch works correctly. Check with Ohm meter to ensure continuity when operated.

I accidently inserted a 17 Black Ink cartridge into a slot where a 32 should be. Now it has a carrier jam is there anyways that I can fix this?

Remove the 17 cartridge from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert the correct black cartridge (32 or 34 cartridge) in the carrier. Close the cover. If error continues to show up, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

I have a 15 ton carrier gas pack at work with inducer motor and spark igniter with hall senser ..showed error 6 flashes on igc board which the drawing said was inducer motor or hall senser...

The error code is always right. Sometimes misleading, but in 15+ yrs I've seen, always right. I'm not familiar with a Hall Sensor. If this is a remote sensor, as in a remote location that senses in the hall and not at the tstat then I know what you're calling a hall sensor. Make sure your IDM is working and closing the air proving switch. And that no other safeties are in that circuit. Check continuity to the remote sensor wiring and all connections? I've seen hot surface ignitors look fine and not work, but pulled a new off the truck and the new worked. All else fails, remote sensors are tough to get a good ohm value due to a temp difference affecting the ohms, replace it. I'm not sure why your "drawing" would relate the IDM to a remote sensor so I'd focus on the IDM and follow the voltage trail.

I AM WORKING ON A CARRIER 90% FURNACE. IT WILL NOT FIRE UP. IT SHOWS A 34 CODE. THE IGNITOR DOES NOT ENERGIZE FROM THE BOARD. NO POWER COMING FROM THE BOARD. I HERE A CLICK AS IF IT IS TRYING BUT NO...

Problem: Your furnace will not ignite the gas to produce heat for your home. When a furnace has a bad ignitor what I see most of the time is the following sequence of operation:

1. Thermostat calls for heat.

2. Draft inducer motor starts.

3. Pressure switch attached by a small plastic or rubber tube senses the negative pressure produced by the draft inducer and closes.

4. Draft inducer runs for 30 seconds to a minute before you hear a gas hissing sound. The ignitor did not glow, the flame sensor (a small metal probe about 1/8" in diameter, with a white porcelain base) does not sense the flame, so after 8 to 10 seconds the hissing sounds stops with no ignition of gas to heat your home. Your furnace shuts down and goes into a lock out condition until you turn your power switch back off and on again. Then the sequence starts all over again with no ignition of the gas. Solution: You probably need to purchase and install a new ignitor. I would suggest that you inspect your ignitor closely for cracks. Make sure you do not touch the ignitor with your bare hands. If you do not visually see a crack, then you could have a furnace control board problem or a limit, rollout switch problem. Please see "limits, rollout switches & furnace control boards" further down on this page. The furnace's control board might not be supplying the voltage to the ignitor. If your furnace lights and the gas stays on for 8 to 10 seconds, then shuts right back off, then you need to clean your flame sensor with light sand paper or steel wool. You might need a new flame sensor, but most of the time they can be cleaned an will work well after cleaning.

I have a whirlpool gas dryer that will spin but not generate any heat? maybe the ignitor or the burner?

it could be:
1. thermal fuse (check continuity ~0 Ohm)
2. gas valve coils (check continuity with Ohmmeter set to x100 or x1000)
3. Ignitor (check continuity, can be up to 80 Ohm)

Much less likely:
4. radiant heat sensor (should open when heated by ignitor).
5.cycling or high limit thermostat (check continuity, ~0 Ohm)

Carrier 6 year old 58STA/58STX attempts to start then fails

Sounds like the ignitor is burned out. The ignitor has two wires going to it. It should glow just prior to the gas valve opening.
Check the door panel for the explanation of the error codes.
hope this helps.

Gas not coming on Carrier Weather Maker 8000

either the gas valve is not opening or your not getting gas to the furnace.  also the gas valve won't open unless the draft motor comes on.  if the ignitor is trying to light, but there's no gas, it might be a bad gas valve. i would call your closest NATE certified contractor
