Hello; If you have a plasma TV, is fairly common to hear buzz noises. They can be always there or intermittent. They can get louder as the screen gets brightest. If the buzz is noticeable when you are at normal volume setting, the buzz is excessive and a PCB probably needs replacing. These buzz noises are almost never a sign of failure or safety. LCD TV's can also buzz, but the same applies. John
I have this tv aswell, and yes I will confirm that it does buzz quite alot, but all plasma tvs do, it is to do with how it renders images, the buzzing can be made worse by it being close to a wall and it reflecting back. I found that my tv stand some how amplified the buzzing when i got mine. I dont think its something you can escape.
Mine i notice also when scrolling around menus seems to have lines that follow your selection....not to pleased about that
Hello, normally this buzzing sound comes from the power supply, before you go out and replace the power supply for this noise try to lower the backlight, this might make a difference in the noise but also be very aware that your TV might be a little darker than before.
Watching tv all of a sudden loud buzz noise,I shut off unit turned back on loud buzz came back about 30 seconds later loud pop pop then smoke came out of top of unit, i'm not please as this unit i bought about 17 months ago @ Canadian Tire Belleville & warranty is now not covered, pobably will never buy another Proscan product but am more concerned there could be a fire caused buy this than getting unit replaced
I have the same problem I can hear buzzing over the volume of the tv into the 30 range. I've had a tech out 3 times and he's coming out for a fourth. He's changed to power supplies and is bringing the 3rd next visit. From what I've read it has either to do with power supplies or grounding strips.
When switching to STBY raster remains and buzz noise is heared from the speakers
Cause: +B voltage (103 V) does not switch-off. Remedy: Replace defective C541
Ticking noise and line in picture
Transistor 7381 (BC848C) defective when hot
Dead with ticking noise from line
Replaced C622, C604 and Q509
check your connections again, if you have the audio and video reversed you will get this exact problem
no video/ fuzzy video, and squealy noise out of only one speaker (other will likely sound correct)
You're watching the sound channel, and listening to the video channel basically... hehe
