Windows media player is not playing movies with sound

Displaying message that there is no sound device installed or may be corrupted.

Need to install the sound driver from the motherboard driver CD.Once installed the sound device will work.Good luck and please do post comments if this does not work, will be glad to help out.Please do rate my solution.

I can not play a movie with my windows media player


You can download the latest version of Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codec) FOR FREE
It will install all the required CODEC and you can play all audio - video files.

My suggestion to you is you download an IVIVO media player... it is very easy to download and it will play any dvdrip downloaded movies.

Installed powerdvd8. plays music cd's great but no sound from movie dvd's.

windows media players seem to have a prob. with having all the codec you might need to play a movie. ...even after you install more codec. ....go to the site for VLC media player and download it and you it as a default player. ....vlc media player has all the codec's in it that you would ever come accross. ....works great for me and has never found a movie it could not play

Error when I try to use Windows Media Player 10 or 11


Hi,
This error is generally the result of a corrupt or missing Custsat.dll file, usually located in the C:Program FilesWindows Media Player folder.To workaround this problem:
1. Remove the current Windows Media Player 10 install.
2. Download and install

Windows Media Player 11 for Windows Vista

or

wm_tn_wmp11xp.jpgDownload Player 11 for Windows XP

I tend to use VLC Player, as it plays everything I throw at it..

I lost all my work :(


no its not just see the default directory normally it will be in my videos which is in my documents where it is saved and right click on the file u want to play goto open with choose some other media player like windows media plyer or winamp or real one player or in some other playeres it will play the song if it does not then ur file has benn corrupted or it is not in the right format i can suggest u is reinstall windows movie maker then ur problem will be solved after performing these above steps
