Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Setup- Press Ok- right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the card can be used again.

Hello, While importing the photos, I have check marked delete all option button. So after importing i didnt save the photos as a result my photos got deleted from the memory card. Can you please tell...

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

Your camera is not able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try the one at THIS LINK

If the pictures are very important to you, you might want to seek help from an experienced person.

I reformatting my camera card and cannot find my pictures on the camera. How do I recover them?

As you have discovered, formatting deletes everything on the card.

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

As you have formatted the card rather than just deleting pics, you will need to use the "surface scan" function of the software to find the pics.

Some pictures seem to have been deleted from the memory card and I can not figure out how to retreive them from internal memory

The delete (garbage can) on all these cameras should be used sparingly it's been the cause of more problems then enough but it's there and people use it, The memory card should be formatted every time the pictures are downloaded to the computer. That way the memory card is clean and fresh for the next series of new pictures. Now the pain about getting the pictures from internal memory to the computer is another little annoyance. Each picture from the internal memory has to be loaded to the removable memory card one at a time then when all the pictures are on the removable memory card they can be downloaded to the computer and the internal memory cleared/deleted. I have formatted my photos andnow i cant seem to locate them. Are they lost forever?

Formatting a memory card deletes everything on it.

As the card has been formatted, not just deleted, you will need to use the software to do a surface scan to find the pictures.

Reset the format & reset function on my camera, and now I can't see any of my pictures or videos on my memory card?? Please help me retrieve. It did not ask to delete anything.

I'm afraid that formatting a memory card deletes everything on it. You may however be able to recover the files.

First take the memory card out of the camera. Pictures that have been deleted are probably still there, but will be overwritten if you take any more pictures on top of them.

You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try at www.download.com. Not all of these programs work with memory cards, and not all of them can recover files from "drives" that have been formatted. You will have to search a bit to find the right one.

Transfer pictures to memory card

Hello,
You should just transfer the pictures to your computer (Then back to the card if you want). I don't think there is a copy to card function. However, internal memory and card memory are separate, so there's no risk of overwriting them, either. Just don't delete them.

No pictures

I also had the same problem - Finally solved it by reformatting the Memory Card on my Home Computer.
Note - It was not solved by using the delete pictures function on the V1253 Camera.
The problem only occured after I had used a friends Computer to delete pictures only from the Memory card.
Hope this helps!
