Zm400 media darkness settings get reset after printings lable from SAP

The printer driver settings override the printer settings unless you tell the driver to use the printer settings. You can tell by setting the printer setting and saving it permanently. Print a configuration label. Send a label to the printer. Print another configuration label. Compare the config labels and If it changed, then the driver changed it. Set the driver as above and it will not change when you print.

Settings keeps changing. Using WinXP and supplied drivers for KR403.

Use the Zebra driver and set the printer driver to use printer settings. Otherwise the driver will override and change the printer settings to match settings in the driver.

Hi , I have a problem with zebra 105sl printer , everytime i print somthing i have to make changes to the settings , eg. make it darker .When i save the settings permenent next time i go tto print i have...

The settings in the printer driver are overriding the saved printer settings.
Do this:
1. Correct the printer settings and save them permanently.
2. Print saved configuration for future reference and to see if it changes.(Power on while holding cancel)
3. Print a label from computer.
4. Print configuration again (Power on while holding cancel).
5. Compare the 1st and 2nd printouts. If they are different then the printer driver is changing the printer settings. In other words the printer settings and the driver are different and the driver settings will override the printer settings before printing.
6. Change the driver settings and this won't happen. Increase the darkness setting in the driver.

Printer getting stuck after the paper is half way through

Hi

The printer driver is corrupted, either you set up again the printer once more by adding new printer with the same name and set is as default pirnter.

Or uninstall and reinstall and printer driver and set it up again to correct the corrupted driver.

Prints only high quality , was printing a few pictures but cant get it back to normal setting

The settings in the printer driver over-ride settings selected from the printer. Drill down in the driver to find the setting you want and change it from there.

How do I configure a Zebrazm4 Plus printer for a

Usually the easiest way to do this is to make sure the printer driver you're using is set for continous labels. This setting will vary depending on the driver / software being used to print labels. You can also go into the SETUP mode on the printer and make sure MEDIA TYPE is set to continous. Be aware that most printer drivers will override the setting in the printer. You may set to continous in the printer but if the software is set for die cut labels, then the printer will act for printing die cut labels when a format is sent to the printer.

Page alignment

Hi rene_schuste: This info may help you with your problem.
If you used an older or different HP LaserJet printer driver (printer software) to create the document,
or if the printer Properties settings in the software are different, the page format might change when
you try to print using your new printer driver or settings. To help eliminate this problem, try the
following remedies:
● Create documents and print them using the same printer driver (printer software) and printer
Properties settings regardless of which HP LaserJet printer you use to print them.
● Change the resolution, paper size, font settings, and other settings.
Graphics quality
The graphics settings might be unsuitable for your print job. Check the graphic settings, such as
resolution, in the printer Properties and adjust them as necessary.

My page is printing with a blank line down the right hand side.

Most likely cause is a driver setting NOT a printer setting, especially if it's 1 used on a networked printer.

You list the paper size in tray as lettre (so I assume you are in USA)
make sure the printer driver is set to match this size, and that the document size in word is set to this also.
I can't recall if it's letter or A4 is slightly longer, but if either way 1 is slightly longer and narrower than the other. So if printer and driver are not set to match it could be throwing line feeds in odd places.

Try a print from a different application, for example, does a windows test page throw a spare page afterwards ? If you print 2 pages worth of raw text from Notepad does it throw extra pages. If yes, then remove printer driver and reload it CHECKING all the settings, if they previously looked OK, if you found a setting in driver looked wrong, try that first.

If it still does it, try installing driver on a different PC (laptop?) and test from there, if it still does it contact local HP support team, if it doesn't then look into software setup on the "problem" machine.

having spent 5 yrs fixing printers I can assure you most problems of this nature are simply a driver setting, or a printer option setting, or can even be the paper tray guides not set right, so middetecting paper sizes.
