SOURCE: spectrum 2050 plasma cutter .

Check compressed air pressure is in limits otherwise unit will cut out. Try adjusting the pressure up. also make sure the supply pressure is correct as it may not be your plasma cutter at fault.

SOURCE: Thermal Dynamics Drag Gun Pac

Hi:

Your plasma has a start arc pilot inside the machine, this one must be faulty, check your owner's manual and request the part to your nearest welding store. It is easy to replace.

Where can I get consumables for a lotos LT5000D plasma cutter, and is there something else compatible.

You can order them through Lotus Technologies,
http://www.lotostechnology.com/product_p/ltp5000d.htm

Or if you see a name on any of the components like Airco, Tweco, etc, you cold get through your current supplier or you could take them to a local welding supply and see if they can identify them. Chances are very good they simply used something readily available.

Miller 350p welder gives a "help 3" code.

Code help-3 Indicates that the gun trigger was pulled and held during power up. Release gun trigger and clear fault condition. Also, this display can Indicate no open circuit voltage detected when gun trigger is pulled and no arc detected within 3 seconds, this means that the trigger was held without any metal contact. The machine will shut down in order to avoit the wire to continue to run freely.

To fix:

Turn on the machine without pressing the trigger on the gun. Then increase to the max the wire speed. Then turn off the machine. Press the trigger after the machine was turn off, then without releasing the trigger, turn on the machine and release the trigger after 2 seconds. That will take care of it.

My tig welder wont arc unless I touch the metal with it

my guess would be the type of welding machine you have.usually there is extra switch which says start control also continious cycle , sometimes smaller machines dont have these switches to allow a wider variety of tweeking the welder ,also its ok if you have to touch the base metal cause thats what starts the contact with the work peice ,keep a arc after touching about 1/4 inch away from work peice ,also a good steady hand rest will make a good welder in any situation this should allow the arc to remaim stable with a comntinious weld arc puddle. happy welding

Solar welder 2175 wire keeps feeding wont stop doesnot arc until trigger is pulled

Look on the front pannel. thier should be a "latching Switch" indicated by "4 X 2" little arrowes. The 4 is " pull the triger -- the release the arc continues, the "2" is pull the trigger and the arc startes release the trigger the arc stops simplesssssssss
