Question about Goodman Heating & Cooling
I have a 2 year old Goodman heater/air conditioner unit. The heater blower switches on high then shuts off with an E2 error. It must be shut off manually and works again when it is turned back on. Is there a reset button somewhere?

Try putting your fan in the on not auto position and see if your outdoor condensing unit cycles on and off. If it does you might have a defective time delay relay to blower. If not your contactor might be stuck or your thermostat could be defective.

sounds like that model # is for the A/C coil or its a heat pump air handler. In any event I am not aware of any "repair manual" that is put out by Goodman to the public. They have classes on their equipment but they are geared to the professional serviceman.
If you would like to descrobe the problem, I will try to help you.

it sound like the blower motor may be seizing up. try spining the blade by hand to see if it feels free or not. the motor could be trying to turn but can then tripping itself out on overload. (most motors have built in safety overloads which will trip during an overcurrant event. aka too many amps.) you may have to replace blower motor

Hi! You need to check pump filter. It could be jammed with a coin or hair clip. Now take the machine outside and empty it then lay it on its side and you can access the pump. Take it off, stand up the machine and pour hot water into the soap draw and check water should run out of bottom freely taking any fluff or bits with it. Now take apart the pump and clean it and dry all components before re-assembly. If the machine still doesn?t work then you need to replace the pump. Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee

I had the same problem. I had to remove a return air duct filter that i had installed and it worked just fine. The system needs plenty of air flow to operate.
