Hi the answers are 1. the main use of purchasing a mobile is that to attend a call. so whnever a call comes jus press the centre button on ur mobile to attend and speak. 2.u can input the phone numbers just by typing the repective number and then you can find 2 options as soon as u finish typing the number like "call" and "more"... click "more" option and u can save the number. it automatically asks u the name of the person whom that number belongs. so u can enter the name. 3.for messaging purpose click on the menu area. u can jus go to menu area by pressing the menu key. in that a message option will be available. click that and u can see "write message" option. click that and start typing ur message. after finished typing press "ok". it will go to ur contacts list. select for which contact the message should be delivered and press ok. thats it...

If you are new to HTC Touch smartphone and dont know how to activate your MMS service than here?s your simple solution of doing this thing. Just follow the following steps and it will be done :: 1.To activate your MMS service, firstly send a text message ?MMS ACTIVE? to your customer care serrvice number. 2. Configure your GPRS settings - goto Start->Settings->Connections - Click on the connection item - Add a new modem connection under MyISP - Input a name for the connection - Select the modem as ?Cellular Line (GPRS)? - Click next and Input Access Point Name(APN) : service provider site name 3. Confugure your MMS options - Start -> Messaging -> SMS/MMS - Menu -> New MMS - Select a Blank Template - Menu -> Options -> MMS Options - Select Servers tab and enter the information * server name * gateway * port number * server address * wap version Once all these steps are done, set this server connection as your default service connection. This is all that u need to do and now enjoy sending and recieving MMS.
Simple. Go to your phones settings in the messages ((Messages, Menu, Then It should say Text Input Somewhere)). Change your text input to TAP English((I Believe)). To Text in your current Setting which is called PREDICTIVE TEXT. Simply press the letter you need 1 time and then the next. For Example: DOG Press the D 1 Time Then The O 1 Time Then the G 1 Time It should spell out by itself, but if not their should be a scroll key((Depends on what phone you have to determine Scroll Key))
When it comes through it usually comes with the area code and number correct? that is the way you have to save it. Look at the number and if it has the 1+ area code+ number that is the way the phone rconises it and that is the way it needs to be saved. I always save mine to phone instead of the sim since it gives you more options in the phonebook.

Yes, you will need to send a text to your operator (O2, Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile etc.) to get your MMS and other settings.
You should be able to obtain the number from the operator's website by searching for "Get Settings".
