Re: dirty ice and water chutes in door of...
Its a bit tricky to remove the front "facade" but ive see n how dirty they can become, spraying with a mild bleach and water or perhaps vinager and watersution and tryin to scrub with a toothbrush may be a better alternitive then trying to remove the front cover. wouldnt want to risk breaking the elctronics

The little door that opens and lets the ice fall into Your cup is not closing all the way, allowing cold air to escape from Your Freezer and causing frost to build up. Simply look up at it or open the Freezer door and place a lit flashlight in the ice chute so You can see where the light is shining through the ice dispenser at. There should be a build-up of ice there that is keeping the "trap door" from closing all the way. Clean that off and You should be as good as new.
W10224328 Dispenser Door Spring The chute door is the reason your ice bin is freezing up and also the chute door being open draws warm moist air inside your freezer compartment causing massive amounts of frost and keeps the compressor runing all the time between defrost. You really n eed to get the chute door fixed. What is the correct model number? For the model KSRX25FT dispenser parts click HERE The chute door spring may be broken but you will not know untill you open the dispenser housing. I'm here should you post the correct model number or have questions, Sea Breeze
This is solution to frozen water 'plug' preventing water dispense but ice maker still making ice. I first tried a suggested fix from this site to just leave dispenser light on overnight. I added some aluminum foil sealed over the module with a little tape to hold in heat. By morning still no water dispensed BUT I escalated the suggested fix by 1.) placing a large mug of boiling water in the compartment behind the aluminum foil 'cover' heat seal and 2.) added a small bean bag heating/cooling pad [heated in microwave] to the ice chute in the door from the freezer side. After one change out of the two 'heat sources' (about 30 min)...viola! Water dispensing again; proving it was an ice plug in the water dispenser. NOTE: When first adding the heating bag to the ice chute in the door, I found that a good bit of frost had formed at the top of the ice chute, so it appears this problem arose when someone (maybe even me) didn't close the freezer door completely due to overcrowding in that section of the freezer pushing against the freezer section door.
That means the ice door is not closing or its broken. When you look down the chute with the door open can you see the ice door closed? It can be a couple things that break in there to cause the door not to close. The only way to figure out what broke is to take it apart! You can put a small towel in the chute from the top to stop the frosting untill your ready to take it apart.
If this helps please rate me.. thank you..
WAS IT LEAKING FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER OR FROM BOTTOM OF FRIDGE? ONCE IN A WHILE YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE ICE BIN AND DUMP ICE OUT AND CLEAN IT. HOW CAN THE ICE MACHINE OVERFLOW WITH ICE WHEN THE ICE IN THE TRAY WON'T BUDGE? NEED CLARIFICATION. SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER HAVE A BAD ICE MAKER MODULE OR THE SOLENOID FOR THE ICE ON THE WATER VALVE IS BAD.
I believe in your case the ice maker part number WR30X10093 being electronic with the control board in the front is the problem. I think the control board behind the front cover of the ice maker may have corrosion and causing the ice maker to malfunction. You can try disconnecting the set of wires to the coil on the water control valve and see if the water stops or turn off the ice maker first and try disconnecting the coil wires later. It has to be the control board or the water control valve part number WR57X10032
