Avenquest system suite 9

I noticed my computer slowing down both during boot and when running. Also, its' been 11 days since installation and it has not updated my virus data files yet. System Suite 7 and 8 would update almost every day. I called the support line which took almost 40 minutes to answer and they said there wasn't any virus .dat update files listed for System Suite 9. I worry about protection and wonder if I trust a program that does not update regularly. I it doesn't start working soon I'll go back to System Suite 8 or find a program more dependable. Anyone else having these problems. I too have noticed my computer slowing down. I can't get SS9 to turn on its firewall, I have to use Vista's. And I can't get Jet DeFrag to work. It just closes and says an error has occurred. I have e-mailed tech support twice and haven't received an answer. I also loved SS8, but am not happy with SS9 and how buggy it is.

Same problem--also having trouble with windows update --type in www.windowsupdate.com and that would send me straight to www.goggle.com Tried the total delete and reinstall of SS 9 with no result other than a lot of wasted time... I was ready to do a complete reinstall of windows Vista Ult.-- the solution was to download ComboFix and let it run thru its course---I was able to update both windows and System suite 9--Yah!

Two things to try. First, uninstall SS9 completely> restart> disable any network access> turn off automatic security settings in vista> reinstall SS9> restart> enable vista security settings> reconnect network> run update. Firewall and AV should work now. If this does not work then try the same steps above but do a selective install and uncheck firewall. When install is complete and you are connected to the network then go into control panel and, using the system suite repair function install firewall. Good luck.

Norton Security Suite Takes Lots of Space and Slow Down The System if you are using old version of norton security suite and please disable the background acitivities of norton its slow down the system takes the CPU Consumptions Power & yes System Mechanic Coexist with the norton security suite only if you disable the background processes.

I installed system suite 8 professional on my computer. Now my computer will not go past windows xp window..i cant get to safe mode or anything, and lost my windows xp disk. any suggestion?


try last known good in the menu instead of safe mode other than that you will most likely need the operating system disc to repair or reinstall the system.........if you are lucky you have a backup on the hard drive try hitting the F 10 or F 11 button when you first start to boot up to see if you have a hidden restore on the disk if so it will give you a menu for a restore follow the prompts to repair the computer best to go to a working computer and go to your computers website and look up the manual it has valuable info.

Software work to slow and it shot down


Software Installation : Installing more and more software can make the computer slow down. The reasons for that are that installation of a software will make entries in registry and that is somewhat bad. The software may be running in the startup. The software will install various files on the computer and an overloaded hard disk makes the computer slow.
Free up disk space : Try to keep your hard disk space free. You’ll always notice that a computer with free space on hard disk will always run much faster than the one which is loaded with extra stuff.
* Remove Unwanted Items From Startup : Well, if you’ll remove the unwanted softwares from the startup then your computer will boot up much faster and the memory (RAM) will also remain free and thus that will again result in better computing experience
Run hard disk maintenance utilities : Always run the utilities like Disk Defragmentation or Disk checking utilities regularly, around once in 2 weeks
Run Registry Cleaner : Right, this one is related to first tip. In case you’ve already installed and uninstalled various softwares before reading this tutorial then you can go ahead and run various registry cleaning softwares

During your computer's boot sequence, watch for a notice telling you which key to strike to ENTER SETUP. This will take you to your BIOS management. Find and disable Intel SpeedStep, C1E, or EIST, or related PowerNow! settings on AMD processors. These power saving settings are designed to slow down or shut down one or more cores of multi-core processors during times when the operating system thinks that the processing power is unnecessary, but running advanced DAW software such as Cubase draws power at very near the full system capacity, and it takes a long time to reboot the temporarily suspended processor cores. During this core reboot lagtime, Cubase is often deprived of the processing power needed to route audio signals through its complex internal bussing system (Steinberg's patented VST system link), and this power loss causes it to crash. If you disable the SpeedStep settings in your BIOS, you may notice a very gentle rise in your electric bill, as your computer's processor will be running at full capacity all the time, but you can always re-enable SpeedStep when you're not planning on recording anything.

you have to run one suite at a time , if you are running both the suite than the speed was automatically slowed down . but after doig you again have to check wheather any windows file missed or not if missed than you hav to istall that again thats the major prob.

Space Issues with Avanquest System Suite 9


I'm guessing that before you installed this software you had a lot of space on your hardrive. Have you opted to perform a \recovery backup' or 'system restore', or something like that during the install? If so this may explain why it is taking up all this room. 
What this would do is make a copy of everything on you computer into a backup file, effectively greatly reducing your available space.

Bring up Internet Explorer, click on tools, click manage add ons, click enable/ disable add ons, look at enabled add ons, disable Data Vault. Restart your computer. This will fix your script errors with System Suite 9 on Internet Explorer.

you have to many programs installed on your desktop that are taking up space... also you could have a virus that can hide from the defrag..... also the F-secure program could have something to do with it.. they take up a lot of space
