OK, nice video and explanation! There is obviously something rubbing against the "tube" that should not. Is that place in contact with the inside of the front door? If so, check around the door for a sharp area that aligns with said abrasions. If you find the area, fix it first before considering replacing the other piece!

`fix tubing that has leaked

The heat from the light bulb dried out the plastic hose on the dispenser. the tubing is 1/4 in and I used a brass compression fitting brass insert . I cut off the head of the insert so the tube was round and could be used to join a short piece of plastic tubing to the existing plastic tube in the door. Cut off the damaged section of tubing in the door and replace that length with new plastic tube. Push the brass insert halfway into the new plastic tube and then into the existing tube in the door. Route the tube into the original metal part on the door and it's done.

How to fix the lines to the lubricating resevoir on Craftsman 16" electric chainsaw?

I do not have a Craftsman but I have a Remington and I've had Homelite and Poulan. They have all been the same. The oil lines are small pieces of plastic tubing that connect to plastic nipples attached to the reservoir and the opening near the blade. Those little tubes get brittle fairly quickly. I found replacement tubing of the right size at a hobby shop that handles fuel lines for model airplanes. I remove the old tubing if it is soft enough with a utility knife. If it's too hard to cut, I use my rotary tool being careful not to damage the nipples.

Once the old line is off, it's simple enough to attach the new line by sliding it up on the nipples at the reservoir and at the nozzle.

All that being said, after years of frustration with oil leaks, too much oil on the blade, drips, replacing the oil lines, etc., I no longer use the oil reservoir.

I put my chain oil in a small pump oil can. I put a squirt on the chain when I first start cutting and every two or three minutes thereafter.

Now I don't have to worry about shelves covered with leaked and wasted chain oil, keeping the oil opening clean, oily sawdust collecting inside my saw. My little oil can helps keep thing well-oiled and clean at the same time and I don't have to worry about replacing the oil lines. I wish I had done this years ago.

Leaking water in back refrigerator wall

You have to pull the refrigerator out and track down the leak. Leaks are usually really obvious. Usually it will be leaking from a tubing connector, or possibly a crack in the tubing itself.
Disconnect them by pressing the plastic ring (like a collar around the tube) into the connector, then simultaneously pull the tube out. (be sure to turn off the water supply first!)
Sometimes you may be able to fix a connector issue by cleaning it out and putting it back together, but you may need to replace it.
If you have a burst tube just replace the whole piece. No amount of duct tape will fix it.

Maytag washing machine model a 210 (1982) leaks above filler. how do i get into cabinet to check natureof/cause of leak?

see this cause and fix it:
During fill only
air/gap deformed or crack , replace see the diagram
the rubber tube run between water inlet valve and air gap can cause leak +inlet spout can be crack cause leak replace.
During drain and spin only
inspect main drain hose and fix it. steel or plastic outer rub can be rust, split if this happen you must replace the entire outer tub.

All the time
check the hot and cold hoses water tighting or replace
main tube seal leaking
pump defective leaking.replace
outer tube, split , rust, causing leak, replace
see the diagram
God bless you

The water line that connects to the back top of the fridge busted loose. It looks like there is an adhesive pad that keeps it in place. How do I fix it? Scott

Hi Scott and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

The plastic line that connects to the ice maker rubber FILL tube is what came off. Check inside the freezer and squeeze the end of the rubber tube at the back of the ice maker. I would bet it is frozen with ice. (Hand held hiar dryer for quite a while to defrost the tube FYI and do NOT melt the plactic of the ice maker water funnel.) What causes the tube to freeze is the inlet water valve starts bypassing water when it is supposed to shut off. The result of this bypassed water is a frozen rubber tube and the plactic tube on the back of the refirgerator blows off or leaks. This inlet water valve is NOT repairable.

The Fix... Replace the inlet water valve and make sure the rubber ice maker fill tube is defrosted BEFORE re-inserting the plastic tube back into the rubber fill tube. It just pushes in and the adhesive pads for holding the plastic line in place are not critical even if they are lost. The rubber fill tube fitting will retain the plastic hose just fine as long as the ice maker end of the tube is not frozen from a leaking inlet water valve.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Ice maker model uki1500axx. Maytag refrig freezer on top. Problem is the plastic supply line that runs up the back and slips into the piece that goes into the freezer keeps leaking and coming out. There...

ok let's make it simple.... install a copper insert in the tip (1/2 in ) and reclamp .. look for a build op of ice inside delivery tube inside the freezer / if its icing over this will cause a pressure on the plastic fill tube and leak or push it out./the replacement tube is open at the top to prevent this / hope this helps mm .

Keeps over filling and water leaking out of side and front

There is a valve mounted on the rear of the cabinet which is supposed to cut off the water flow when the water level reaches a set point. A clear plastic tube will run from the bottom of the tub to this valve. Replace the valve, reconnect the plastic tube. Should solve the problem.

I just bought a side by side and i hooked up the universal copper tubing for the water and ice and it is leaking. Also there is rolled up plastic tubing in the back of the fridge part and do i have to hook...

the roll of tubing is a storage place to keep cold water before itcomes out the door you just need to hook up the tubing in the rear then bleed the lines thru the door using the water in glass option and get the leak fixed

Evap leak in fuel

Remove the gas cap and re-install it making sure that you hear it click several times. What your evap leak could be is the gas cap allowing gas fumes to escape. All it takes is a .040 leak to turn on the engine light. If it persists you'll have to have the emission system smoke tested. What happens is the system is literally filled with smoke and the leak will be found by where the smoke comes from.
