Ever since i hooked up my house with the WRT150N, I have been getting a lot of lag on all of my games to the point where i cant play at all, i have tried resetting the router and also doing the power off and on again and nothing works, it has also given me problems with the xbox chat system either; my friends don't hear me or i don't hear them. The router works fine with connecting all my pc's in the house to the net at really high speeds, and also the xbox, it just lags up the gaming really badly for some reason. Is it not a good router for gaming?

performance may be due to traffic bursts from the xbox. One thing you can try is to decrease the encryption to a low setting as a test and see what happens. You also may want a higher powered router if you want to get the best out of the experience. Try to guage your speed and data rate over the wireless and if possible compare with a friends setup.
If the problem has something to do with NAT firewall in your router, then you may need to open certain application ports for your XBOX in the router. You may check this link from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874 that talks about NAT firewall and XBOX live.
the only thing you need for connecting 360 to wireless is an Internet connection, an 802.11G wireless router, and a wifi adapter that connects to your 360. They have these at walmart or any gaming store. I suggest giving your 2-Wire back to ATT! NOT QUALITY. Especially for gaming. I myself prefer my box to be hard wired as lag is far less. BUT..for wifi Get a Linksys Router and XBox brand wifi adapter for 360. Also google xbox connect. Instead of paying for LIVE
check your router's settings on the set-up page and configure your wireless settings to be able to receive private chats or get invited or invite friends to an xbox live game. try to check your firewall because sometimes its blocking your connection
Well, since one is playing Battefield well, and the other is not, I do not think that the lag is from the connection, but from the machine itself.. Probably the NIC or the Processor tied to the NIC..
The first thing I would do is try upgrading the Drivers for the NIC.. If you are running this through a wireless connection, try hard wiring it directly to the router and see if you still have a degraded response.. If no, then it is the WiFi adapter that is causing the issue, and I would consider again, first updating the drivers, or replacing the WiFi Nic..
Lots to consider here, but those would be my first steps to take..
