Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Whirlpool Duet Washer has done GREAT for two years..now suddenly,

...small load of clothing is stopped mid cycle with the F-21 blinking, blinking and all the lights in the left panel of the washer blinking. This happened about an hour ago and I reset the washer and put the "sopping wet" clothes on "Spin and Drain" cycle and they FINALLY finished and let me take them out. NOW, I have a new load of clothes in the washer and the SAME PROBLEM is back with the F-21 blinking and the machine is all "locked up" ...the Cancel/Pause button will not allow me to get into the machine. HELP!!! (Sunday night 11:26 pm EST Jan. 18th 2009

This means your drain pump is clogged--- there are 3 screws at the bottom of the lower front panel. Remove these screws and there is a drain pump cleanout located in the middle. Twist this off by hand can clean out the debris--- WATCH OUT LOTS OF WATER will come out so have towels ready.

What does the Code E1 mean for a Whirlpool Duet washer?

There is a small access panel on the bottom of these newer Maytag and Whirlpool washers. Three small quarter inch screws hold the panel in place.
Once the screws are removed the panel will come off. The pump filter is directly in front of you at this point. The handle can be twisted counter clock wise and then pulled out. Most likely you will find some sort of debris inside. It can be an article of clothing, lint, backing from a rug, or change

My whirlpool duet sport washer just stops completely mid cycle and shuts down

If it has a safety switch that shuts the washer down when the lid is open, it could be going bad. It's a simple repair.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

I Agree, I don't think it is any other board, I believe the CCU (central control unit) has gone bad as it keeps on stopping mid cycle. If it was the Motor Control Board (MCU) then the washer motor should have been causing problems (which isn't the case) so replacement of CCU will be a great option. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Sud message on whirlpool duet front load washer also after washing clothes i notice a mildew smell on the clothes.

You areusing too much soap. Run a rinse cycle and use less soap next time. As for the mildew leave your door cracked open after you are done using the machine.

Whirlpool Duet Sport not running it makes clicks and it grinds

A common problem with noises from washing machines has been the under wire that may come out of small clothes. In the washer they can get stuck in one of the inner basket holes and make a scrapping noise, they can actually make there way into the pump and jam the pump, or make a terrible noise when the pump is running. Grab a flash light and have a peek inside the washer for this. Front load washers seem very common to this happen! If the tiny cloth is showing signs of fraying, may be best not to wash it in the washing machine, replace the cloth.=======
It's noisy Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Whirlpool GHW9150P front loader washer keeps stopping mid cycle witht he F06 code. I can get through an entire cycle if there are only two or three items in the washer. My thought is it needs a new motor drive. would you agree?
